Spy x Family Season 2

Spy x Family Season 2 is airing today and we got our Opening Song earlier this week. Pretty sure this season will 12 episodes long.

ED is out now too

An entire episode centered on Yor getting shot in the butt and having to deal with the pain definitely made for a strong season opener.

The more burning question is imho: Who got the bullet out?

She did. She said she took care of the wound, it just hurt like a bitch. The better question would be: why not take painkillers?

She took some at the end of the episode... a whole glass

I doubt normal painkillers will have any effect on her.

I heard many people complain that Yor didn't do a whole lot during season 1. Well season 2 should be remedying that.

Yor really is amazing. She literally got shot and the biggest issue is that it left her butt really sore! A normal human being would simply have died. Glad she's ok though. Maybe you can say it reflects her getting a bit sloppy herself and distracted by her home life. But regardless, it's good that the worst of it was her being in pain.

And that's to say nothing about her guzzling blowfish poison and having it simply work as an excellent pain killer!

Fun episode. Anya doing her best to support and protect her family there. Loid may not have understood what was up (fair enough) but he was also working hard to handle things. And honestly having things be so tricky for him is probably a good thing. The less easy he thinks it is to handle Yor the more he gets pulled out of spy mode and is just Loid for a while.

Tough day though for Yor. Doing her best, but with that much pain there's only so much she could handle.

Considering it's Yor maybe it barely penetrated the skin and she was able to just reach back and pull it out like a splinter .

I don't even think we even saw her wear her iconic assassin uniform at all in the last cour outside a fantasy bit and the OP .

Yeah. Honestly I think she had her introductory assassination job...and didn't see much of that uniform again after.

So it's nice to start off this season with it. Even if she apparently had to get that outfit patched up again!

It was Masaaki Yuasa. If you don't like it, you do you.

Yeah the opening is pretty awesome. For some reason the scene of the three characters making giant steps is stuck in my head.

About the episode it was fun but it's a shame that the duo didn't get to develop a bit in their first date. Wonder if the author is really trying to make their relationship move on or stay as a comedy.

Well, the promise of more dates in the future seems like a good development at least and they both enjoyed themselves in the end .

Keep in mind that the chapter that the episode is based on is a "bonus" chapter that appeared in the main Shounen Jump magazine as a way to give readers an idea of what the title is like.

Bond just lazing and sleeping away as dogs so often do...but wait, what's this? Bond can't see the future!? What could this mean? Did something happen to Bond? Is this the end for Bond!? At least he's got a family that will mourn him (even if Anya is too busy with homework to say goodbye), even if it turns out said family might be responsible for killing him...either from Yor's cooking or because Bond imagines her murdering him in a fit of rage .

What's a dog to do? Why, find Loid of course! And thus begins one dogs' quest to find a superspy, avoiding kids, cars, and even crushing on a passing by poodle .

Loid is trying to infiltrate a lab and secure a truth serum, but who should show up but the family dog! And he turns out to be surprisingly useful! Of course Loid thinks this is connected to the experiments they did on Bond but all Bond cares about is getting Loid home so he can get properly fed .

T. Bandit and his dog companion make for a very effective team! Especially when they manage to pull one over on those scientists and secure the truth serum! Bond definitely earned a good Loid-cooked meal .

We return to our favorite smug and overachieving tsundere boy Damian Desmond as he continues to focus hard on earning more Stella Stars and becoming an Imperial Scholar...at the expense of his life as a kid. But at least he's got some true bros who will get themselves into trouble just to spend time with him! Truly elegant, right Henderson ?

And then they go on basically a camping picnic trip with Mr. Green (who seems like he's seen some stuff in the Navy) and get into all kinds of hijinks like kids often do. And what's better than fishing in your skivvies with your bro while set to a cool insert song ?

It's all well and good to be focused on your dream (especially when Damian wants his father to praise him) but sometimes you just need to take a second to relax and unwind and enjoy the view, like a river reflecting the beautiful Ostanian night sky .

Next week: Yuri returns !

no anya no life.

bond part was fun and while I don't dislike damian, a chapter focus on him without anya is not something I would like to see.

This episode was ok. I mean Bond is fine and Damian is an important part of Anya's school life. So nothing wrong there. But this episode wasn't anything special either. It at least had some Loid so it wasn't completely devoid of the main cast.

My condolences to Bond of course. Yor should probably avoid killing the family pet if she can.

The second half of this episode was a complete delight for me. It was nice to get the see the boys just be kids and enjoy themselves. While they may have their annoying points, Damien's friends are certainly keepers.
