Take into consideration that Tohma's mentality is the one of a survivor, his morality isn't as black and white as the Huckebein/Section Six. He know the huckebein are dangerous villains but also think about the things they'd do for him just as how he's thankfull to Subaru for taking him as a child. I wonder if Tohma wants desperately to see the good in the Huckebein and then will stamp into a wall when he makes to know them more closely.

Even then, actually thinking on joining them for this long, when he really should know that will make an enemy of all his friends here, and probably force him to kill people (most likely for their stupid revenge)...yeah, still dumb, even if he thinks they're 'nice'.

Actually giving a reason for Touma to want to join this group other than being a nice guy? They were nice to him once, but also gave him a ton of reasons why they're bad people at the same time. There's no justification for this being a big choice here, because there's only one good decision. It's a flaw, and it doesn't make much sense. Sorry for being negative and noticing it.

Well, yeah we can point that Tohma's idealism/naivete is one of his flaws as a character and Hayate is already worried by it because she thinks of the possibility of Tohma joining the Huckebein in an attempt to understand them.

Has that come into play before this as a flaw, though? Or even at all? Having another character tell us about a character's personality is definitely easier than showing them with it.
