It's very funny, art improved since the one shot, and girls (both the main and the lolis) became a lot cuter.

I don't know where you got "Clock" from though, I didn't see anything in the manga to associate it with such.
It should just be Kurokuroku, until significance of the title is clarified?

I also have no idea where "Kuro Clock" came out. Websites like mangaupdates call it "Kuro Clock," so I went with it.

Kuroku sounds like 'Clock'.

Is the one-shot scanlated?

Clock is actually Kurokku クロック not クロク

And クロック is a common romanization used in Japan.

クロクロク is more like a rhyme of repeating letters, and can be read backwards exactly the same. (sorta like newspaper can: しんぶんし)

I just read the scanlated first chapter. The way the plot developed was pretty standard fare for a lot of shounen one-shots. However, the way the setting is pretty interesting and it does feel pretty amusing overall. The main male lead is also really standard, in both design and mannerism, so hopefully he'll get some more development soon.

My biggest fear is that the female lead is going to get sidelined as the enemies get stronger, which happens in pretty much everyone story that's set up this way unless she gets powers of her own.

Kuroku seems to be inexplicably badass. If he just continue OPing everyone, it's going to be boring...... That being said, Chiaki is very cute, but the premise of having 100000 yen per hour job will just take away her binbou spirit displayed in chapter 1 and make her less interesting.

Perhaps besides the rhyme, Kurokuroku is also actually Kuro Kuroku (黒クロク), written in kana to hide some plot device

It's kind of amusing to read this and then think about the things Bakuman showed on how manga at Shonen Jump is written and you really understand why the author might be making certain decisions and what not.

Anyways, I feel like there's going to be a massive shift in storytelling soon. Maybe chapter 4 or 5 where we'll get our first major arc, and the story shifts more towards the battle manga route.

Btw, why is there a 'Clock' in the title of the thread? Part of the title name obviously came from the male protag's name (either Kuroku-roku or Kuro-Kuroku). Unless the scantalation team wants to change the name of the male protag from Kuroku to Clock?

Well, the introduction of a new member should be it's own arc, or at least, trigger the start of a longer arc.
