And can someone explain to me the difference between lance corporal and captain? Or what is Levi now? I read both things so I'm confused lol

Several people questioned his/her gender and asked the author about it, and the author decided it's better not to answer it and leave it a mystery.
She/he does talk masculine.

Haha, nice. Guy who accuses people for taking a simple sentence out of context, takes it out of context himself! lol.
In other words, that's not an answer. It's an opinion (founded in speculation).

I AM Japanese myself, and I'll tell you that dude looks into things a bit too much.
If what he says was true, this topic wouldn't still be debated in Japanese fandom, which btw, it is.

This reminds of another author who never had any intention to make his character's gender ambiguous, but after reading how many speculations were going on on that subject decided to play on the gender ambiguity even further.

So next time you are unsure about a certain character's gender, do not ask for a direct clarification, rather make a question that would cause the author to indirectly reveal the gender.

Petra has always been cute since the beginning (I guess this completely confirms that she is blonde), the real surprise is Hanji! She can't be so cute!
Then again IG makes even titans look moe.
