I know that he's incredibly popular in both the USA & Asia as a character

Same here, but I've always thought he was kinda quirky, despite not watching the show

Family Guy is great, its surpassing the simpsons in every way.
There was a show some 10 years back that didnt show in US but i know it showed in Canada and I was one of the few lucky to have it in Europe "Calamity Jane". It owned so much, but i cant find anything about it now...

Looney Tunes and Tom and Jerry were pretty funny. Watched them many times during their Cartoon Network runs and I never got tired of them. Haven't watched any TV for a while now...

I don't really have a single favorite non-Japanese animation.
I would say the closest thing to a favorite film would have to be The Triplets of Belleville....Give it a shot if you like cool artistic animation films.

I also love watching quick, guilty pleasure TV shows like Invader Zim, Billy and Mandy, earlier seasons of Dexter's Lab, and the occasional South Park episode.

I just watched that film a few days ago out of sheer curiosity since I saw it in commercials a few years back. It was intriguing and odd all the same.

Lemme put it like this: it's not very vocal in the dialogue sense but it is very musically inclined, if you dig what I mean.

My favourite cartoon from cartoonetwork is between - Chowder and Flapjack. Those two crack me up! But for Nickelodeon, its Spongebob Squarepants all the way! ;D

I have a soft spot for the old Aeon Flux series. Wonderfully stylish.

Most of the stuff on Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon in the 1990s and a little after I enjoy. The Flintstones, The Jetsons, Looney Tunes, and Tom and Jerry are others.

Ooh, and Arthur. Loved that.

Depends. My tastes in comedy is far and wide. If you're referring to just him I enjoy it when he constantly makes a fool of Yosemite Sam and Elmer Fudd. Daffy Duck is no exception (the episode of the famous Rabbit/Duck season comes to mind).

Kids' cartoon, I love Courage the Cowardly Dog and those other Cartoon Network cartoons during the early 2000's. I also like Family Guy and The Simpsons.

I'm gonna have to disagree. Maybe it surpasses the Simpsons in balls-to-the-wall humor, but the characters don't have the depth that those in the Simpsons do. Overall, it's not as well written and you don't care about the main characters like you do the Simpsons.

This isn't to say I don't piss my pants whenever I watch it, I just think the Simpsons is overall better written, give or take that five year stint of pure garbage.
