Create you own Log Horizon character. List your name, class, subclass, equips and how your character works.
Info on classes and subclasses can be found here: http://lh.oksub.me/wiki/Main_Page Use it to help decide your build. Quote:
Warriors Guardian: Standard DEF tank Samurai: High DEF with very powerful moves but also a very long cooldown Monk: AGI tank Weapon users Assassin: Physical DPS. Highest physical attack of all classes Swashbuckler: Crowd control and debuff Bard: Buffs/support Healing Cleric: Healer Druid: Healing over time Kannagi: Damage preventer Mages Sorcerer: Magic DPS, glass cannon Summoner: Summons creatures to do fighting Enchanter: Buffs and debuffs Feel free to come up with your own subclass and equips but don't make them game-breaking Name: watisit Class: Assassin Species: Wolf-fang Subclass: Berserker (If vampire has higher life-absorb i'd take that instead) Weapon Dagger of bloodlust (Regains health = 10% of damage dealt. When user is hit, boosts ATK by 20% and attack speed by 50% for 10 seconds ) Tanto of the Berserker ( Regain health= 15% of damage dealt. Every enemy killed gives gives a +100 ATK boost for 60 seconds, stackable up to 5 times.) Both weapons are phantasmal level, but have below average attack stat for that level due to the abilities Armor Leather of the Assassin Boosts atk speed by 10%, crit rate by 10% and crit damage by 50% Accessory Ring of regeneration: +50HP/second So basically a life-drain Assassin whose drain rate is very high due to high attack and attack speed. One weakness would be against Kannagi as they focus on preventing damage from being dealt since no damage dealt means no life drained. Utterly lethal against mobs. Character Name: Orix [rendered as is]
Level: 67 Race: Human Class: Cleric (Armor Cleric) Subclass: Lore Master Guild: Unaffiliated HP: 6626 MP: 5797 Server: SEA Items • Inquisitor's Breastplate - Rare drop plate armor obtained by clearing the "Hacienda del Conquistador" (Spanish, "Conquistador's Estate") raid dungeon. Consists of a breastplate, leather shoulder pads and a cloth shirt and breeches. Due to the mixed composition of materials used, it can be assumed that it is used not only for battle, but also to impress those who see it. It protects the wearer from both Shadow-property and Holy-property attacks. • River Papyrus Notebook - A water-resistant notebook created from the fibers of the River Papyrus plants, cultivated as part of the repeatable "River Cleanup" quest. The notebook is given on first clear of the quest, and sheets of paper that can be added to the notebook are given on consistent clears. It is a valuable part of any water-loving Scribe or anyone else who also love to write stuff on paper. • Heartshock Hammer (tentative name) - A medium-weight hammer imbued with the ability to gather energy and release it as electricity. The force released can stop the hearts of enemies or instantly revive a downed ally. It gives the ability [Charging Heart] that can stun or paralyze a single enemy or instantly revive a single ally with 25 HP. Background Orix is originally a self-employed man who owns a digital photography studio in the suburbs of the capital. Despite his constant exposure to a variety of customers, from newlyweds to politicians, he calls himself an introvert regardless, as he is often cautious of other people and is keeping it safe when it comes to social interactions. This reflects to his style of gameplay in Elder Tale: minimal exposure to party set up, a build that balances offense, defense and survivability and his tendency to rely on quests to reach the middle- to high-end content. His exposure to the lore of Elder Tale eventually caused Orix to fall in love with this aspect of Elder Tale, and has soon made his debut as a Lore Master at Character Level 20, when at the same time launching the first ever lore discussion thread in the Elder Tales official forum. When the Catastrophe struck, Orix was initially taken aback by the idea of ending up in Theldesia and was, like many, worried about the "world they left behind". However, with the motivation of fellow lore enthusiasts scattered throughout the Archipelago of Filipos, he managed to calm himself enough to become perceptive of his surroundings. During the first days of the Catastrophe, he used his "fame" in the forums to gather information about the Catastrophe and eventually recorded what he knew in his notebook. However, as the concept of law disappeared and relations among players deteriorated, this "fame" backfired on him, and he was ambushed as soon as he attempted to explore outside the player city of Manila. Having experienced death (albeit temporary) changed Orix's view of the world and he decided to rely on himself to avoid possible conflict while maintaining contact with familiar players from the lore discussion thread. At that moment, not being able to save the beginners from this "world of anarchy" would be "an unfortunate, yet necessary sacrifice". At the present time, Orix has no concrete view of the future, but he hopes that he would witness an event where people would unite together for a more welcoming world. He is somewhat pessimistic about this, but meeting other adventurers seem to be pushing him into the right direction... Skills Overview As a Cleric, Orix is oriented towards a balance between survivability and offense, allowing himself to comfortably explore areas while keeping himself safe from imminent harm. This configuration makes him a sturdy caster with decent attack damage, but it also lowers his overall damage from an average offensive-type Cleric, making each fight a battle of attrition — losing mana is just like running straight into a dead-end. His arsenal of skills are centered on the following: Reactive Heal, Holy Light, Argent Chaine, Divine Might, Energy Protection and Graceful Garden. Build: Armor Cleric Signature Skill: Holy Light Overskill: Light Punishment - Due to the changes of skill mechanics following the Catastrophe, Orix's skills acquire the practical effect of creating momentary light sources using his skills. This means that he can exploit this with the human eye's inability to instantly adapt to changes of brightness, allowing his skills to blind enemies for offensive or defensive purposes.

List of Characters from <<Of Pence>>
• Merchant Summoner • Account Guardian • Housekeeper Sorceress • Cleric Warpriest • Sailor Swashbuckler, Captain of the Featherlight • Vampire Samurai • Kannagi Dancer • Mechanic Monk • Enchanter Pharmacist • Hunter (Assassin/Animal Trainer) • Fishing Druid • The Bards -------------------------------------------- Spoiler for Kaa:
Level: 90 Race: Human Class: Cleric Subclass: Warpriest Guild: Of Pence HP: 10k MP: 11k Items • Hauberk of Sigma - An Epic set of plate armor awarded from completing the "Divine Avengers" series of legendary quests. This questline is unlocked by first achieving Exalted reputation with the reclusive Warpriests of Sigma, then speaking to the NPC named Fury, Lord of Sigma. The questline will take a devout follower through some of the hardest Heroic mode dungeons in Elder Tales before culminating in the [Battle of New York] raid. While the questline is accomplishable by reasonably competent players, the amounts of hoops one has to go through in order to be exalted with the Warpriests of Sigma renders such armor ridiculously rare. The stats bring a balance of healing and offensive power, thus complementing the heals of a Cleric while augmenting the searing Light attacks from learning the ways of a Warpriest. Likewise, the armor provides a mix of Dark damage and physical damage resistance. • The Promised Ring - A simple Heirloom (levels with the player, equal to a Rare of his item level) ring that is a testament of his marriage to Anitalisk. • Warfist of Ragnaros - A heavy 2H Legendary hammer burning with molten fury. It is an incredibly rare drop that Samurai and various classes fight to claim when it drops off the Firelord Ragnaros. You have to have no life or be a smelly ninja to own this weapon. Playstyle Kaa is first and foremost a Cleric, as such in combat he is right in the thick of it, providing flash heals, cleanses, aoe nuke heals and huge replenishing recharges to his allies. Because Clerics can worship different dieties thus having slightly different abilities and the Warpriest subclass itself can have different denominations, no Cleric/Warpriest is exactly alike. Kaa roleplays after the Warpriests he worked so hard to be exalted with, giving him some special skills taught by the Warpriest of Sigma NPC trainer. In keeping with the very aggressive nature of the NPC faction, these skills are sacred-themed and very aggressive: • Consecration applies an AOE pulsing debuff on the ground, burning all enemies standing on it slowly and slowly healing all allies in its effect. • Justice Hammer is an impressive attack that Kaa throws a shining replica of his weapon at the target up to 10m away, exploding on contact and stunning him for 4s. Reduces damage resistance of Unholy creatures and players. • Evil Heart Turn fills Kaa's eyes with searing light which the Cleric then directs into a target. This forces the target to witness the sin he is guilty of and makes him flee in terror for 5s. Double duration against Unholy creatures and players. • Divine Sacrifice is a powerful explosive attack in which the Cleric explodes with holy wrath, dealing 66% HP damage to the cleric and doubling that damage to everything around him for 10m. • Judge Jury Executioner is a cool-sounding and very cool looking attack on a short CD that slams the target with holy Light, dealing some damage, heals and manas Kaa, and applies a short-lived debuff on the target such that Kaa and his allies attacking the target can heal and regen. At the start of Elder Tales, this Cleric/Warpriest specialization was so IMBA that it has been repeatedly nerfed, buffed and retuned over the years. For a long period of time the class was virtually unplayable and that reduced numbers further. At the time of the Cataclysm, Kaa has dps enough to solo world mobs, while having enough heals to stay alive. However, Kaa functions best in a group, healing, Sealing and Judging, thus bringing very delicious raid buffs. Pre-Cataclysm, Kaa's overspecialization made him a very progression-minded raider, and as such he would often guild hop as the drama in such progression guild often tears them apart. With the introduction of Arenas to Elder Tales, Kaa and Anitalisk formed an Arena 2s team that achieved 1800+ in rankings. He kept on focusing on more and more combat skills, thus making himself better at conventional aspects of Elder Tales. Post-Cataclysm however, Kaa found himself devoid of the most basic skills of daily life, made worst by previous having no life IRL. These instead fall to Anitalisk, who took up Housekeeper to run an Inn that profited by charging lower rates than NPC inns. With the discovery of Kouden, Kaa developed even more variations of his divine magic, sometimes as simple as using Consecrate on his weapon to create a torch, others as complex as stacking JJJ into an internally reflective object that when thrown and shattered explodes like a bomb. Because he is a doctor IRL, he can instruct Pharmacists to gather, synthesize and dispense medications to treat some diseases, and otherwise use his holy magic to perform miraculous feats of healing, including combat resurrection if an ally's HP falls to zero but hasn't disintegrated. Kaa may be living at Pence for now, but he takes time to go on a search for other Lander Warpriests of Sigma and learn more divine combat magics. As he completes these quests, Kaa unlocks more quests from Fury. However, his searches garner clues that perhaps the Warpriests, long suspicious of Adventurers in Gaia, are part of the cause of why players are stuck in Elder Tales in the first place... Other ways of using Kouden would be the use the lore behind each roleplaying class. In Kaa's case, it would be following the footsteps of Brother Titus, who once tamed a Wyvern that he rode to Westlande after leaping onto the back of one. Except no Adventurer had ever done that before and most likely would involve taking lethal fall damage.

Something that might be helpful here: there is an HP/MP chart by the author. I've taken the liberty of translating what I could. Might need some corrections on the author's notes.

I echo watisit's advice on checking the wiki, whether you think you're in doubt or not. It saves helpful people the trouble of correcting glaring (and sometimes embarassing) mistakes and/or contradictions that could have been avoided with a little more research =3. There's still no much there, but enough to help everyone get started on.

Hmm~ so Meister's already here.
Information's a bit limited right now, so this is all tentative. Name: Shirayukihime Race: Human Primary Class: Swashbuckler Secondary Class: Housekeeper Guild: Front Lines Equipment: Ice Fairy Silk of Fortified Evasion: Cloth-type woven from Ice Fairy hair obtained as quest reward. Gives no protection but boosts evasion. Demon Wood Sword of Fortified Wielding (x2): Longsword carved from Demon Tree obtained as boss drop. Average attack but boosts attack speed. Wind Giant Boots of Fortified Movement: Leather-type fashioned from Wind Giant skin obtained as hidden item. Only boosts movement speed. Shirayukihime did not make her avatar according to what she thought would be strongest in the game. She made it according to the <<shape of the heart>>. She believes that the avatar must <<reflect the inner truth>>. <<Focus>> on one thing and grow accordingly. Shirayukihime's <<Truth>> is a swordsman. She believes a swordsman is strongest when dual-wielding. The <<Focus>> is speed. The <<Truth>> reflected outside of battle is <<Housewife>>. Shirayukihime created her avatar on the very day of <<The Disaster>>.

Life-drain is something that is rarely placed on weapons for a reason, but combining it with a huge attack bonus and a 50% attack speed bonus? Especially Assassin weapons that are known to be capable of dealing damage ranging as far up to at least 7000? That's crazy. |

A guardian with a very strong def would also be troublesome since the damage dealt would be greatly reduced (I am focusing on ASPD too). Also, the boost from the second requires mobs to be around, so if it is just one boss it's as good as nothing. And from what i've read so far, there's no real need for actual numbers in the novel. All we needed was a rough idea of the standings between different classes. The numbers are just me, there's no actual need for it. |

Character Name: Weisten
Level: 90 Race: Dwarf Class: Monk Subclass: Berserker Guild: RAGE. (pronounced RageDot) HP: 15874 MP: 3842 Theme Song: YT Items • Legion Skinhead - A headpiece that doesn’t provide much in terms of stats, but its horrid appearance has a negative effect on others’ morale. • Gone Berserk Vest - Cloth vest that amplifies Weisten’s rage, increasing his damage resistance and HP with a certain percentage. Production-Class. • Hands of the Deranged Angel - A medium-rare glove drop. Enhances his damage made with his bare fists, but lowers his skill with all weapons. Artifact-Class. Playstyle When it comes to playstyles, Weisten prefers the “rage and forget” approach with his bare fists. For those uninitiated, it implies that Weisten becomes blind with rage and fights with no regard to injury or psychological warfare (in part thanks to his equipment and subclass). Using only his fists as weapons, it carries an element of surprise for those that haven’t encountered him before. Couple this with the fact that his double-nature of both helping and destroying people he encounter, and it makes him an unpredictable enemy. Or ally. The rage itself comes, not from roleplay, but from the psychological damage he took when he became trapped in Elder Tale together with the rest of the players. His longing for his family, and being surrounded by outright morons in his eyes, threw him over the edge. He outright broke, betrayed and slaughtered his previous guild, and formed RAGE., a guild only he himself is a member in. He is, though, known to engage in banter or battle with the two other Elder Tale players called Lancelot and Gawain.

Character Name: Akka
Level: 93 Race: Fox Tail Class: Kannagi Subclass: Fortune Teller *You will see what happens into the future. Upgrading this skill will increase accuracy and percentage (Max: 95%, 5 seconds). Works by focusing on something, and anything that is different from reality is what will happen. Ie: You see a boulder on a cliff and when you focus on it the boulder is gone, this means that something will happen to it. Guild: N/A HP: 8973 MP: 12729 Items Bond of Destiny (Accessory): If the wearer dies, the final hit will be dealt to the attacker, as well as any status (good and bad) will be passed onto the attacker. (Artifact Class) Ferrero Rocher (Accessory): All equips and items gain the "Bound" effect, you can eat it as food and you have an unlimited amount. It was made because the company sponsored the game in North America. After the apocalypse one of the only menu created foods that have taste (Phantasmal Class) DyHard Armor: When hit by an attack you will not lose any HP, instead the armor will store the damage and after a random amount of time passes the armor will deal you the damage. The amount of damage dealt is based on how long the attack is stored 1-10 seconds you will receive 1x damage, 11-25 seconds you will receive 1.5x damage, 26-35 seconds you will receive 2x damage, and 36+ seconds you will receive 4x damage. (Production Class) DyHard Pants: Your defense and attack will decrease proportionally to the amount of hp you have (100% hp means original atk/def, 85% hp means 15% atk/def debuff) In return your cooldowns and mp recovery get a proportional buff (100% hp means normal cooldown and mp recovery, 85% hp means 15% cooldown decrease and 15% mp recovery buff) (Production Class) DyHard Ball: Floats around the user doing nothing. If the user also is equipped with Dyhard Armor and DyHard Pants when the user dies the ball will explode dealing 3x damage of the damage DyHard Armor had stored to everyone in a 5 meter radius. Has the additional effect of "Instant Respawn" (Production Class) Playstyle My play style would be called a Counter-Point Build. It works by using barriers that reflect damage instead of just nullifying it. There are 3 main types of reflect barriers: Magic, Physical, and Support. If the reflect is successful the damage is nullified and the attacker takes a 2x rebound damage. The spells, for balance, also have an effect called "All or Nothing", if a kannagi uses the physical reflective barrier to stop a magic based attack all skills will gain a cooldown of 1 minute and the kannagi would not be able to move for 5 seconds, also instead the Kannagi will take 2x damage of the attack. Kouden Spoiler for Stuff:

Are armor allowed to give that kind of effect as well? Because that's a lot of active bonuses. I thought armor gave passive bonuses and that it was your class/subclass combi which affected your gameplay. Also, you aren't Accelerator... Your barriers don't work that way! Kouden is so exploitable... I did chuckle at Maze however. Forcefields to divide and conker is a favorite Protoss tactic of mine.

Hmm~ looking at Meister's edits...
The idea of <<Kouden>> sounded really weird to me at first, and it's probably because I'm used to Kawahara Reki. The <<Ice Fairy Silk>> is blue, the <<Demon Wood Swords>> look like ordinary wood, and the <<Wind Giant Boots>> are grey. I didn't think about her being a yandere, but surprisingly it works in hindsight.

@Box-kun:
I merely took what was in the novel. That said, I have no idea who Reki is. I hope the Hauberk of Sigma wasn't too overdesigned... As for Shirayukihime... Glad you accepted the suggestion. @Sheba: Huge wall of characters is HUEG. On Celine: Ah yes, we need more traps. However, I think idiots are found everywhere... On Yashiro: How does that even work, dressing a male PC in female armor. Video games never work that way! Metauniversally, I'm sure she gets asked where she gets the Saint's Orb from a lot. An item like that would be very popular with those who catch the Devs' drift and those who raid often. On Remi: There is no kill like overkill, even in referencing. Surprisingly, a Vampire works very well with a Summoner, especially when you want to just stand back. I believe you do get some CC like Mesmerize and a Fear type ability, and then there's the bonus to movement speed when fighting at night. Also, drain life on close contact. Is her Vampire subclass high enough to become a Daywalker? Very well made videogame wise, she is. On Vlad: The most obvious one to be a vampire... isn't. Well-played! Furthermore, he sounds like the level-headed one in the group. Its better for tanks to be knowing what they are doing... well, I think Naotsu is the exception rather than the rule.

List of Characters from <<Of Pence>>
• Merchant Summoner • Account Guardian • Housekeeper Sorceress • Cleric Warpriest • Sailor Swashbuckler, Captain of the Featherlight • Vampire Samurai • Kannagi Dancer • Mechanic Monk • Enchanter Pharmacist • Hunter (Assassin/Animal Trainer) • Fishing Druid • The Bards -------------------------------------------- Spoiler for Damar:
Level: 90 Race: Human Class: Swashbuckler Subclass: Sailor Guild: Of Pence HP: [recalculating] MP: [recalculating] Items • Vestments of the Dark Phoenix - A standard set of leather armor from endgame raiding. It has a lot of Hit rating and bonus crit, as well as a set bonus that allows a DPSer's threat redirection skill to increase Haste as well. • The Mage Killer - An ornate flintlock pistol shaped like a dagger. This weapon was named after its original owner, who set aside everything, even morals, in order to pursue the most efficient means to an end. • Frosteel Cutlass - A large curved piratey blade made from Frosteel. The developers really didn't think very hard on this one. • Compass of the Dark Pearl - This compass doesn't point North, but to what the owner really wants. On use, the trinket gives bonus attack for a short period of time. • Galor-class frigate "Featherlight" - Ships and Sailors were introduced during Patch 3.6 aptly called “Davy Jone’s Locker” 4 years ago. Featherlight was a frigate commissioned around that time and Damar her captain ever since. Ships like their captains can also level up with upgrades, repairs and modifications, becoming faster, stronger and better armed than before. They start out as obligate seagoing vessels, but with upgrades and mechanic modifications, as well as some Unobtainium, ships gain a powered Flight mode for travelling inland from T5 and beyond. Currently, ships are capped at T10. But that is expensive enough. Ships were a huge sink designed to take resources out of the economy and reduce inflation rampant during the middle days of Elder Tales. This meant that whole guilds would own a few and needed their combined manpower to maintain a small fleet. Frigates are the smallest class, designed to be crewed by 5 people and when fully upgraded can carry a maximum of 20 passengers + 25 units of cargo. They have tremendous speed versus the bigger ships and can be heavily modified to suit their captain's needs. As Patch 6.0 rolled by however, the Catastrophe happened and Damar’s crew was decimated as the other 4 Sailors were still queuing to get into the game. Not only that, her captain needs to find enough fuel (or a willing Pharmacist) to keep her airborne. Until then, the Featherlight remains grounded. Playstyle Damar is the guild leader of the guild Of Pence and deals mostly in smuggling, marauding and bounty hunting. Pvp is his game and raiding other vessels for booty to sell at shore is his trade. He favors finesse and fast strikes, using a pistol + sword setup to produce a balance of melee and range, as well as point blank shots or just using his pistol as a bonus close combat weapon. Pre-Catastrophe, Damar would use all sorts of P2W buff and advantage. Now, he reserves them for the utmost emergency. He also had the heart of an explorer, and would take his Featherlight to places where no Adventurer had gone before. After the Catastrophe, he is marooned with his ship and a Monk/Mechanic in Pence in Edo Bay, where he was offloading a black market shipment of weapons and waiting for his friends to get into the game. With his crew MIA, Damar tries to recruit any player to join his travels and strike it rich. Or at least afford something to eat...
