These kinds of new character introduction never gets old. If feel bad for that dragon, even though it saves Yao and her people, there's no way to communicate with it unlike the Empire. Wondering if it is edible? |

As soon as I look at that square beauty in preview I remembered this scene from 'Stargate SG-1':
*entire team sits down while Daniel is trying to open ancient doors for the last 3 hours...* Neal: 'Daniel, how much longer?' *Daniel answers him in frustration. Daniel: 'If you have a better and faster way in opening this doors than be my guest!' *Neil get's up all happy. Neail: 'Alright, Carter bring up the C4!' Daniel: 'WAIT WAIT WAIT WAIT WAIT!!!!' xD |

Giselle is funny, she had her temporary moment of fame but then came badass Rory and the military to put her to place.
The fight was thrilling enough imo especially with the dark elves also involved. Nice episode especially from the buildup. Revenge is best served hot!

Sometimes I wonder why they gave the names of all those dark elf warriors since they were all canon fodder.
It's still impressive that they won with what they had, but Itami is essentially indestructible now with his contract with Rori. It was also convenient that the JSDF came at that time. The fight with the dragon was initially during the day, started at night, and left the cave during the next morning. That was a lot of hours in a few minutes of anime. Now, Itami is coming back to the problems that occurred when he left with his full harem of overpowered girls. There's a demi-god, a unlimited blade works mage, a nature controlling elf that commands lightning, and a dark elf warrior.

I laughed abit when no one remembers or mentions any of the dead dark elves after they got out of the camp. It's like the entire time, they were the only ones fighting the dragon Yao Ha should have shown a bit of sadness since she was at least acquainted with them.
Did the red dragon really die? The explosion blew off its arm and another part (the top portion of the tail??) but no confirmation of it being dead (which was anti-climatic since I expected jets' supports. Welp). Also those two young dragons actually managed to last while against such firepower from the tanks and jets. Not sure how it will went with the red dragon. |

LOL... "Is everybody all right?" "Yeah." Well, not any of the other dark elves you took with you... The lucky ones died immediately from being crushed, eaten, or dismembered. A few of them might have actually survived being burnt or hit with the RPG backblow if you hadn't run off and left them...

It was sitting on 70-odd kilos of C-4 which went off when Tuka's electrical storm hit the wires connected to the detonators. C-4 is a high explosive, producing a very very fast shockwave designed to tear things apart (as opposed to a low explosive like gunpowder which produces a slower shockwave).
There should be clear evidence later in the storyline that the adult fire dragon is really dead, if the anime tracks the manga. No spoilers.

The battle animation was actually very nice. I did not expect it to be so well done. Too bad they rushed the last part with the jets/artillery and Giselle. Her interaction with Itami and her surprise seeing the Dragon corpse was so poorly done. Also, the Dark Elves who sacrificed their lives were not even mentioned after that..lol. But yeah... if i had any doubt, i do not have any now. The studio is going to rush it way too much for my taste. I know what to expect now, so no hype for the rest of the season :/
