this fansite or website is a place where gamers discuss their tactics and post guides on how to play KOEI games, I am sure it is a valuable resource for players that needs help to play KOEI games that are Japanese based. I hope it helps. |

Well, I suppose it means that if a game company got their act together, they could petition Bandai for the licence - but while gamers of other systems might (or might not) like the idea, would there be many Gundam fans who would like a tabletop combat system?
(I was thinking one 'duel-scale' game based around the HG kits, and a 'tactical scale' closer to the wargame Aeronautica Imperialis in terms of scale, might be an interesting choice...)

Tsukuda Hobby's sets were made back in the 80's(?), and Bandai/Banpresto have typically been concentrating more in the videogaming space these days. If you have a company, can come up with a good business plan and/or a working (and fun!) prototype that can be demo'ed, that might be something to consider. A few things to have to think about, IMHO, are: - Dilution of the brand - although having put characters and mobile suits in games like "SRW" and "Gundam Mousou" already... - Canon. Something that breaks canon without being authorized would likely get slapped down. You probably won't get a huge (if any!) amount of help from Bandai even if they give you the go...

Well, I'm not sure if I would be in a position to do anything - but I'd be delighted to see a company give it a go, so long as they handle it properly (and the licence fee from Bandai isn't prohibitive).
There are companies that can be pretty careful regarding maintaining the integrity of a given property - but I'm guessing that there must already be someone at Bandai who co-ordinates the various media to make sure that the material all fits together, which would be a useful source for anyone wishing to make sure a game system was consistent with what you see in the anime, manga, drama CDs etc.

Gundam Battle Tactics
Been playing this old game for a while on the PSP, but kinda stopped as I was lazy. Pretty interesting since I'm a Gundam fan. Recently got back to it. Gameplay was a bit interesting since it doesn't make your mobile suit clunky when they move I guess.
Problem is I can't save. Everytime I try to save, the game goes on to delete a savegame file. I'm at a loss here. Unless if there's a way, I may just put this in the dumpster. Shame if I only had the chance to try it out at my import store in Vancouver (which is now gone).

LOL! So crazy Senjou no Kizuna is coming out for the PSP. I loved that game in the arcades back when I visited Tokyo so hearing about its release is pure win. Looks like I'm gonna have to hook it up to the big screen to get somewhat of the same feeling as the arcade.
