Gosick -- Light novels and manga seires

From Wiki:

Quote:
Gosick (ゴシック, goshikku) is a Japanese light novel series by Kazuki Sakuraba, published by Fujimi Shobo. Set in a fictional European country in 1924, a Japanese exchange student meets a mysterious, brilliant girl who only leaves the library to sleep. Her brother, a policeman, relies on her mind to solve difficult mysteries, several of which draw her away from the library
Basically, it follows the adventures of Victorica de Broix and Kujou Kazuki. I think the series is very well written and the art is gourgeous.

If it helps, Victorica is essentially a snarkier version of Shinku from Rozen Maiden.

TokyoPop has only released the first volume of the light novel and nobody is scanlating the manga, as far as I know.

Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one who reads this series. It's wonderful and needs more love!

It's a great series and I hope it one day becomes a series of anime films. BTW, it's Victorique, as the first volume mentions that she has a boy's name, also Kujo's first name is Kazuya.

I'm dead serious. How October 31st of 2008 became Spring 2010, I will never know. Let's hope there's an anime soon though, but God don't let J.C. Staff or XEBEC get it.

Yea, I want an EXACT adaptation of this series. It's so good!

What was so mean about the release of GOSICK by Tokyo-Pop was having a preview at the end of book 1. I mean, it's bad enough to not be able to read the next book, but to dangle part of the next book in front of someone and yank it away. Its just cruel. <_<

Wow I tried to put it out of my mind when the second book was originally delayed. But 2010!? Geeze that's a long time to wait for the second book, was looking forward to it after I read the first a few months ago.

As for a Gosick anime, if it's done, I'd hope it could be as good as the Kara no Kyoukai movie series as far as quality goes. The again ufotable would be great for a Gosick anime.

So uh... if Gosick #2 is being released, does this mean other light novels Tokyopop canceled will get released?

I want my freaking Chibi Vampire #6. :\

Anyway, I also agree that this series is great. I've read the 1st novel and a bit of the manga from Dragon Age magazine.

Once I get through more Japanese classes, I might translate the manga.
I really don't want to translate and typeset and clean all on my own, so I might join a team or something and see if it can get done.

I'm not sure, although I've heard rumors that they will be released.

I think joining a team would be best. That way you can all spread the work.

Say there was an anime of Gosick being produced, what would you like the staff to be like? Any seiyuu ideas or anything?

I really want to read this series. Lately I've been staring at my english copy thinking......I want to keep reading! I'm seriously considering re-reading it soon to satisfy my hunger! lol

But....I'm worried if I do....lol....I may get even more impatient for the second book. XD

Ugh, from the comment here it seems like a very good series. Too bad my japanese knowledge is not good enough to read this kind of complicated novel>.<
