Honestly, anime is just a marketing format for me in this case. Anime meant primarily for Western audiences simply isn't something I'm looking for in a Japanese medium. I'll be sure to fully ignore the upcoming Marvel titles, much like I have ignored Gotham Knight already.

I'm a huge Marvel fan, so I'll be watching regardless of whether it's anime or not. Wolverine only though? I'd love for them to do X-men, especially if it's a storyline from the comics. I know we already have Wolverine & the X-men (western style cartoon), but it's so non-canon it's not even funny.

It would be interesting to see them take a concept and re-interpret it from a japanese viewpoint and cultural setting. Somewhat like the Indian reinterpretation of Spiderman I suppose.
But it doesn't appear they're really doing anything along those lines.
