Do note that I said 'contribution', which I'm correct saying that 'Red is 3x faster' is the only original contribution by Gundam to the list.

G Gundam's Love Love Tenkyoken itself is a play on the trope of 'The Power of Love'.

I can point out 75% of the entire list which mecha anime those 'rules' originate from, the other 25% are general tropes.

And this list mostly applies to Super Robots, not Real Robots like the Gundam series. I'm sure someone has come up with a Real Robot list somewhere and its very different from this one. It will include stuff like:

'Being an angsty emo kid will make your piloting skills stronger.'
'If you're not in the military, your mecha is a stolen mecha.'
'And the mecha you stole will end up being a super prototype with specs unmatched by any.'
etc.

Its true there are general 'rules' in that list, but still the list is for Super Robots, which I know G Gundam is.

Stuff on the list like no.1 "Courage can turn 0% to 100%.", is a reference to Gaogaigar, or even more specific, an episode of Gaogaigar where they couldn't gattai automatically like they always did. So with their courage, they manually gattaied Gaogaigar, with a temporary pilot for each component claiming a certain percentage of courage. Their combined courage adds up to 100%, making up Gaogaigar.

2) Guts and Hard Work, the motto of Top wo Nerae!

30) A pun on the mecha genre and gattai, straight from Aquarion.

72) Trombe - only Trombe of SRW can claim that rule.

And you can see at least 50% of those rules are from Gurren Lagann and some probably applies only to it, 8:52 for example.

Unicorn itself only takes place in UC 0096, 3 years after CCA. In CCA itself (0093), Amuro would only be 29 and Char would be 34, thus making them 32 and 37 respectively.

Hathaway's Flash takes place 12 years after (the novel of) CCA. That would only make Amuro 41 and Char 46.

Not really old, especially by their standards most likely.

After all, in Crossbone Gundam, we got a Ball pilot from the OYW piloting a Flint (Umon Samon) and Crossbone Gundam, 10 years after F91, would be 54 years after and that pilot would've most likely been at least in his late teens or early to mid 20s in the OYW if not older, putting him well into his 60s-70s by Crossbone Gundam.

Not to mention we got "Grey Stoke" (a.k.a. Judau Ashta) in both the Crossbone Gundam: Skull Heart (3 years after Crossbone Gundam) manga AND the Victory Gundam sidestory piloting his "Gump" and Judau was 14 in 0088-0089, thus making him 62-63 in Skull Heart and 82-83 in Victory Gundam (20 years later) x_x;;

Actually, you still would need reflexes if you intend to actually dodge a shot or hit an enemy speeding by and whatnot. You don't actually see into the near or distant future. It's really more instinctive than that.

If you got a high speed Mobile Armor charging at your MS and you sense its approach, if you don't have the reflexes to quickly activate your thrusters and verniers while maneuvering with them fast enough all WHILE the MA is still charging you during those precious few seconds, then you'll still end up blasted away by the MA or just smashed through with its charge.
