Looks like the end to me too, I guess it's not a bad place to end, instead of rushing to finish, this brings it to a nice stop.

It uses Owari, so my guess is that it's the last issue, although I am not too sure myself too.

Tell me about the love story?, ive seen a preview, it says there is a love square welkinxjuno aliciaxfaldio. Is the love square prominent in the whole volume or just an isolated case? because i dont like those kind, it gives me sleepless nights.

Come on, they are at war, not in high school where there is no time for a love square. If they have a problem they should spit it out, because it may be their last. There is no such thing as shy in wartime.

Hey all, I've finally got my hands on volume 4 last week.

Where it ends.

The story moves forward like Edelweiss on supercharged ragnite! We hardly get to know the unit members beyond their faces and occasional banter. The good thing is it doesn't hold back on grittiness when it's required and places much stress on the growing mature bond between Welkin and Alicia. It would've been REALLY nice to extend it to another volume for Faldio's sake but alas, it's all over before we can savour the build-up to the ending.

Oh man, Isara... it's painful to see Welkin keeping his military calm before finally breaking down in front of Alicia some pages later. He's a true leader.

Concise, direct and pretty, reading this comic is like having a toasty ham and egg croissant followed up by a double espresso ...while you're sprinting to work.

Juno has feelings for Welkin but is unaware that her good friend Alicia also has feelings with Welkin too as she thinks Alicia has feelings for Faldio.

Alicia, in tears, reports to Welkin about what happened to Isara.

Catherine, Seold and Aisha are in the woods of Cloden on the run from the Imperials. With the first two injured and barely able to walk, Catherine told Aisha to go on ahead and call for medic, much to Seold's distress. Dripping blood and leaning on a tree, she recalls participating a previous battle in the very same forest.

Welkin and Alicia arrived at the aid station to find the medics furiously trying to save his sister. There was already too much blood for them to find her artery. Deeply upset, Rosie wouldn't forgive Isara if she dies after requesting a song, but Isara weakly reminds her what Largo once said about hurting her voice if she yells too much.

The medic asked Welkin to tell his sister that there's nothing to be afraid of, to which Alicia responded in shock.

Kneeling down, Welkin pats Isara's head promising that he'll always be by her side and return home together. Isara confesses to Welkin that she had always loved him. Smiling happily, she thanked him for being her family. Then her grip on Welkin's hand loosens.

Rosie becomes angry at the medics for not being able to do anything before Aisha runs in seeking help. Welkin ordered her and the medics to aid whoever they can find. He then informs Rosie that the army's retreat has begun and that the militias are ordered to buy some time.

Instead, Welkin passed the order for Unit 7 to retreat within the chaos using alternate routes and hide wherever they can in the thick forest. Rosie asks if he's sure of this decision. He replied that he'd rather not see anymore people die. Hearing this, Rosie heads out.

Alicia, still in shock, is approached by Welkin. He calmly asks her to stay by Isara while he is preparing for the retreat and will return when he's ready.


Far from Cloden at a supply base, Faldio is packing a long bundle into a truck when approached by two members of Welkin's unit wishing to return to their squad. They overhear news of a brutal skirmish in Cloden forest involving units 3, 5, and 7. Eyeing at the bundle, Faldio orders the supply unit to move out.


At a rocky mountain two days after the retreat Cpt. Barott discusses casualties with Welkin while overlooking body bags. Members of the militia can be seen grieving of the dead. She's worried for Welkin since he hasn't slept since that day. He shrugs off saying he'll have more coffee for now. Barott is then called by a soldier and walks down the small hill.

Rosie sings as the rest of Unit 7 mourns their loss.

At sunset still at the hill, Welkin is approached by Alicia claiming she's looking around for Konayukisou(?) flowers before they head out for Landgriz the next day, wondering if Isara likes the flowers. Welkin assured her that Isara was happy and was never lonely because she thought of the unit as her family.

Alicia wonders if things would've been different if they have a valkyria on their side. This upsets Welkin greatly. He points out that that power is something that would burn barley fields, leaving nothing to make breads with after the war. Alicia responded back by saying she wouldn't want to have no one to share her baked bread with.

(Blargh, I'll just translate the rest >_<)

Welkin: "What is it that you want to say?"
Alicia: "If we have the power of Valkyrias, we could've protected everyone and Isa-"
Welkin: "That was MY duty! The one that should've protected Isara... was me."
Welkin: "I even swore to father, to protect my sister."
Welkin: "I already know people kill in war! I've prepared for it!"
Welkin: "But... my sister... Isara... dying..."
Welkin: "Not once I ever thought-"
Alicia: "Welkin-?'
Welkin: "I couldn't protect her! I let my sister... Isara... die-!"

Welkin hugs a dumbfounded Alicia tightly and they both fall on their knees. He starts to cry violently.

Welkin: "Isara...! ...Isara! ...Isara! ..."

Alicia: I... am a valkyria.
Alicia:I probably could've protected Isara...

By twilight Welkin is asleep on Alicia's lap. She looks solemnly at his face before gazing upwards at the stars above.

Well, not quite a summary but I hope that helps. I must say this is my favorite chapter in the entire story.

I talked to a seller on ebay, the same one who sold me volume 3, and he said he'll post it once he runs into it.

There's that and I have a scanner that I can use (for about $80... ) to at least give you guys a glimpse of what we're missing.

Other than that, Circlebutton can you give us more chapter spoilers and information on Squad 7 Casualties .

Also, info on my favorite character (Juno) would be nice too .

Huh, I thought scanning was only a problem if the stuff was licensed in the country its being scanned in? or...sometihng...at least that's how I thought it worked for subbing anime
