Per ANN:

Bandai Namco Entertainment revealed at the "Tales of Festival 2015" event in Tokyo on Sunday that the Tales of video game franchise is getting a new television anime in 2016. The studio ufotable is producing Tales of 20th Anniversary Animation.

Not much is known about it, but it's a "TV Animation" Project and it may or may not be related to Zestiria. As such, the topic title is temporary until more information is available.

Update: The animeanime.jp website initially reported that the anime is an adaptation of Tales of Zestiria, but it updated its article so that it only states that it is an adaptation of the Tales of franchise. Bandai Namco Entertainment also characterizes the anime as a Tales of project, and not an adaptation of Tales of Zestiria specifically.

Actually, in the katakana under the English title there, it says the title is "the Cross." Sometimes in Japan they use an X to symbolize "cross."

Why I have this feeling that they will remove whole begging (OVA material - read as: cut Alisha time even more)? I'm starting to think that this series is created just to give certain character (let's call her rose) even more screen time...

Closed theater, I believe. It should be released at a later date for everyone to see.
It's a crappy thing the devs did, but Alisha isn't so loved a character that she could hold back the release of an anime likely planned way in advance. The most popular characters were Mikleo, Edna and Sorey, anyway. Not to mention the rest of the cast is quite fun and I'm quite hype for the anime even if I had some issues with the game.

"They" as in Bandai Namco and whoever the stakeholder in the Production Committee is. Ufotable is just commisioned to create it. Do note that this project is an anniversary project for the franchise.

Decent start, the story feels kinda confusing but I like the amount of technical effort Ufotable put in for the animation and music. In the meantime, seems like Sorey hasn't been introduced just yet.

Alisha seems to be more of the main focus for now while tragedy strikes with some weird mist against Clemm and the others. I hope the story is explained better as it feels like there's a lot happening for now. Looking forward to more though.

I'm assuming they already expect you to have played the game? Well, these "episode 00"s all tend to expect you know certain things, it shouldn't be hard to come up with ideas as to what's going on if you know the story. Not jumping into game spoiler territory, I'd at least say this is probably the precursor of how she ended up where she did in the original OVA.
