Just got around watching the second one it's hilarity from beginning to end. I 'm also surprised that a good chunk if not all was from recent manga chapters. Gives me hope that the salesman chapter or the one with them going to school at night might really get animated.

I'm with hi no ken jebus on ep2. Pure Ichigo gold, right up there with the original series in hilarity, subtlety, and a humane/forgiving attitude toward human beings and their foibles. And as I said in summer 2005, this may be the best ensemble cast I've ever heard.

Wow.
That was a surprisingly clever and entertaining episode, with oodles and oodles of cuteness heaped on top to boot. Truly, the pleasure which Nobue-neesan derives from watching Anna and Matsuri radiate cuteness is infectious, and that element of the show is taken to new heights in this episode. As usual, the Chinese subs contain many mistakes; for instance: The pudding scene was translated as "I was only pretending to eat the pudding," whereas what Miu was actually was saying was, "I went and bought the same pudding!" Which is why there are two. Very enjoyable episode... too enjoyable in fact, that I'm looking over my shoulders to see whether others are spying on me, and whether I'll be brought up on some charges, because this level of concetrated moe seems so irresistable that there almost has to be something... criminal... about it *Paranoid* Ah well. *Hits the play button again, enters imitation of Nobue off in moe lala-land*

My Japanese skills are far from the best but that won't stop me from watching this as soon as it comes out! In any case, a lot of the jokes don't require very high fluency.
Perhaps the high level of moe in this one is due to Matsuri. If you can, listen to the commentary track for Kawasumi Ayako and Noto Mamiko cutting it up. |

Agreed, also because it's in a wallpaper size. I wish I had found a similar one of Ana-chan

Answered my own question: the group's status page says
Episode Status 1 OUT! 2 Translated; waiting for timing 3 Not yet released in Japan so good things are in progress.

Hoshi ga Mitsu 's h264 version a bit bigger, 190791303 byte vs. 175983484 byte to be exact.I coutdn't detect any glaring differences in video quality. I've compared a few scenes and couldn't find any differences in the meaning of the subtitles but HgM's English sounds more natural and witty to me. I assume AnY & Nanashi translate more literally but since my Japanese is hardly above fanboy level that's only an educated guess. I'll stick with Hoshi ga Mitsu.
