Overall a good series, but like most anime the ending could have used a little work. They could have stood to get rid of one of the slice-of-life'ish episodes to make room for tying up loose ends. |

In my oppinion they kind of explained it with all those episodes. First Mari touched Hagino and it hurt her, because Mari was afraid of her. Then they went to buy materials and stayed night at some shop, thats when there was second step when they shared a dream trough telepathic abilities. And third time was on episode 12 when Hagino returned and they talked to each other telepathicaly.
So you can see the progress and that the "touch hurt" was caused by the telepathic connection ( Mari didn't know about it at that time ). No clue about strangling, there has been many speculations about it here. At that strangling time there were no real feelings between them, so my guess is it was reflexes. Arumes plan was to invade the earth and Mari was the only eye witness. Not that earth could have done anything anyways :P |
