No use to watch comparisons, I have 0,0 knowledge of Japanese...

also for some reason I'm unable to skip forward in the shinsen version of ep1, downloaded twice, tried both smplayer and vlc. Am I the only one?

Things have gotten quite interesting with that flashback of guy and what apparently looks like a girl falling after being killed and then whatever they were doing to to Luke and they obviously extracted some information out of him and onto that Phonic disk. Of course im sorry they actually went where the enemy wanted them to go they didnt even try to come up with alternate plan they just rushed right in and the result was Luke was getting captured.

I really felt bad for Arietta she looked heartbroken i cant blame the girl though. Not to mention she kept getting called that gloomy name which resulted in the battle of the loli's. Even after all was said and done i felt bad watching them take her away in that cage.

I watch it raw but from what I've seen/heard go with gg.

Lots of Anise in this episode. It was actually nice to see her activating Tokunaga and start kicking monster butt, but that's as far as she gets with me. She and Mieu tend to test my "kawaii threshold" pretty hard.

GG translation use the game translation. For some line that are in the game though. .For example, the first few minutes in episode 3

I find it highly unbelieveable that Guy just came in exact that second to save the party when they were under attack. It is also implied that he knows quite a lot about the country though I was suspicious of him before.

I predict that Guy has something to do with the abduction of Luke and that he might be a secret ally of the enemy.

This is all pure speculation and only based on 2.5 episodes of the anime. We will see if I am right or not

I watched episode 4 and it was good, but I have to say that they took some stuff that made Arietta so annoying in the game. The little camp scene was cut out, so for that, a little thumb down in this episode because characters had some superb comments when Luke talked to them.

Some of my friends were saying like that it's nothing special regarding twists and turns so far, but man, will they be surprised a bit later when the real fun starts =)

P.S. What's the point in concealing Asches face when he is clearly shown in the intro?

I don't need to know the motives that made Guy goes to this place, i just want to compare the game and the anime. Sometimes, in games/ mangas, the character takes a train, two boats, three airplanes and goes to help his friend, and in the anime he just junps and "OH, GUY, THERE YOU ARE =D/", ahn, i'm not sure if someone will understand what i'm trying to say...

The exact presentation may be a bit different, but the basic idea is the same.

Jade faces off directly with Legretta, Luke uses Mieu against the guards and finally Guy lands down from out of nowhere in the nick of time to help out. Something like that, which is basically what the anime follows.

I think I'm going to give up on this series. It's just not doing anything for me. Thought this one might be the one to break the usual "anime that come from games suck" rule, but alas it's not. Maybe if I was a fan of the game I'd be more interested, but I've never played it.

No shit. I remember Guy likes to pop out of nowhere in the game. Though strangely in the game it never really bothered me.

i didn't realise this when i was playin the game though. haha. In epi 2 he hides behind Luke with the ">.<" expression when the mulkuth soldiers surrounded them at the end of the epi.

In epi 4, he was floating around the room when they where having discussions at the table. total kawaiiness!!

and he occasionally waddles as he moves as he floats. By the way what was mieu blushing about in the beginning of Epi 4 as ion reads the letter? Initially i thought mieu mistook that anise was refering to him. but later on luke's name was revealed and it's expression didn't change

Spoiler for episode 4: Anyway, with regard to Arietta, I find it almost cruelly funny that she was placed in a cage. I don't know... The first thing that came to mind was, "Oh, look! A loli in a cage. What will they think of next?" The fact the scene shows her just passing by in a cage makes it all the more amusing. Yup. I can be a bastard sometimes, I know. The quality dipped a bit, but so far so good. I think by this time, even newcomers can piece together the hidden the plot—or one of the the major twists that isn't so well hidden in the first place. However, some moments from the game are also missing, particularly the camp scene after Tear gets injured for Luke. I'm not sure I like that, especially since events are moving forward pretty fast.
