Riceball!

I got the second volume today. They had one copy of volume 1 and 2. None of three. ;_; But they had at least 5 each of 1 and 2 when I was in there last weekend, so sales seem to be doing fairly well. I guess I'm just going to have to order volume three.
Really neat wallpapers and pics all. Thanks! |

This manwha series is currently still running at 13 volumes out so far in Korea and 3 out in America. A new volume is released every few months. I'll update this thread with release dates of the American volume of 4 when I have it. Oh ya, Dranz's warning has been noted and I'll do with the urls for the larger images next time Last edited by Slade; 2004-05-11 at 08:33. Reason: yooooro? |

Good observation. But Spoiler:
I estimate volume 4 to be released in June or July. Let's hope for June. A new announcement, a new manga that's been running in Korea by the artist of "NOW" is being brought over to america by comicsone. Looks like "NOW" sales have been pretty good. It's unfortunate that it's not the prequel to "NOW" but a whole new series called... Jay, the female lead(I think) Let me copy the summary of this from the comicsone website- "Peigenz is an action drama which incorporates both outstanding art and just the right amount of comedy to balance the tension-filled serious moments. At the beginning of the 21st century a sudden increase in genetic mutations cause some people to be born with special abilities. However, these enhanced humans are not welcome amongst the general population. As time goes by, they are marked for exile and shunned by society, resulting in a life of crime for many. As their special powers make them difficult to apprehend, the government joins hands with an unofficial, secret group of bounty hunters known as Peigenz. The Peigenz organization is filled with the most gifted and highly trained mutated individuals. Jay Berell, the heroine of the series, is a normal high school student. During a battle between Peigenz and a dangerous serial killer, Jay find herself caught in the crossfire. This triggers her special mutant abilities and leads to her recruitment into the Peigenz organization." - www.comicsone.com I haven't read this manga in Korean yet so I'm not entirely sure if it's good or not but I think I'll pick up the first volume come July and let you know what I think. Can this be? Yu Se and Bi Ryu's Reunion? And Why does Yu Se look so damned pissed off?! Sorry, I saw that and I had to post it Last edited by Slade; 2004-05-28 at 21:27. Slade, I have an enormous amount of 'e-respect' towards you for spreading the word of NOW heehee... I only have 2 volumes of NOW in Korean... I bought it back in September because I was at a Korean bookstore and noticed the art on the covers so I checked them out. Few month's later, I see volume 1 and 2 at Borders!!! I can't believe this thing was licensed!!! HOWEVER.... One thing (or two for that matter) that dissappoints me is the size of the manhwa... It's so small!!! Why couldn't Comicsone just publish it in its regular size? (the size of all american released manga)... another thing is, with the korean manhwa, theres a colored fold out thingie in the beginning... I noticed the American version had it... but as a regular page and in black and white.... Those 2 things were the only things that got me a little mad. BUT ANYWAYS!!! I'm very glad NOW is being noticed in the Manga community... And I also hope that Korean Manhwa's get recognized as well because they're really good!
Oh yeah... One Korean Manhwa everybody should look out for is "JJANG" dubbed as "THE BOSS" in America. This is going to be released by ADV manga and it's a must read. So, check it out when it hits your local bookstore!!! |

The girl featured in my signature is M.O.M.O. the most dangerous female character I've seen yet from "ZERO" another manga made by the artist of "NOW". "NOW" is not finished in Korea but rather the artist has about 3 running series at the same time. I made an announcement about Peigenz because it's licensed and we'll see it in stores come July. About your question about Yu Se.. vague spoilers of what's to come... cilck at your own risk. Spoiler:
