*points at name* Shouldn't you know better?

Full set-up is just an excuse for a fan-service scene anyway

Also reminded that Nanoha and Fate wore BJ without setting up their device in A's too.

Considering from the fact that defence magics are appeared to be mostly non device-dependant, I don't see why BJs are as one of it's class.

The jacket is dependent on the device at least in Nanoha's case. (season 1 episode 1)
Also the device, for example RH, is just the little marbel not the pointy stick.

They can draw out their weapon or armor at any time ~ they are supposedly independent. (seson 2 - Fate)

In season 1 Nanoha was still a rookie, and StrikerS has shown that she does not need RH to be active for her barrier jacket to remain active.

But she needs RH to activate it in the first place ~

Not exactly.

In all those situations that she activates RH, she would need her Barrier jacket as well.

Well, in our universe? Fan-service.

In their universe, its a lot more cloudy. I play with the idea that full set up releases the BJ or KA at max power, ready to take on any blow, while the truncated one saves time but releases the armor at lower power, with total charging time greater than that of full-henshin.

But as I said, that's a fan's explanation of something that doesn't have a canon explanation.

Referencing Ep9 where it's Vita, Fate & Nanoha Vs. Spagetti drone-fighters.
Nanoha did a full one with no service ~ looks like the difference is .6s at most

I could shove some statistical tests in
..to prove to you it's insignificant difference.
But it's really pointless ~ too obvious.

Please refer to Kha's post above for further clarification.

Just asking...does anyone here watches the OP everytime? In the last section, who's that poor thing that got beat up by both Nanoha and Fate together?

I watch the OP everytime; I also watch the ED everytime. I believe the "poor thing" are just drones(model 2 and I think there might be a model 3 in there too).

It's a drone that has been made to look like it was standing on the Velka summoning square, thus giving the impression that Lute got blasted when she is standing in some wood safe from return fire (which she usually does).

As for what type of drone, it looks like a big ball (Type-3 possibly?). Or maybe this?
Spoiler for /heh/:

If type 3 possess the threat to have to be dealt with 60% of armed forces in the TSAB, I can't imagine how would type 4 be like...perhaps there's none.

Do Nanoha and company qualify to be in a Super Robot Wars game? I mean, they pack enough firepower to qualify as a mech...

(No I don't expect this to be answered, just wishful thinking for a SRW-style Nanoha attack)

With the number of characters in MGLN they could've easily done something standalone, like BattleMoonWars.
