It's going to be this horrid mix of new and old voices... I feel like if they were going to do something like this they should have redone the entire dub.

Dojimas VA returned for the anime and for what little parts he had for arena so he'll be returning. The only changes will be chie and teddie.

Yes, they aren't going to mash old and new As. They already said they were redoing all Chie and Teddie's lines with the new VA's. If you liked the old VA's you'll only hear them in the base P4 game for the PS2, the Vita version just wont have them.

Wow, that's quite surprising!
But I'm not regretting pre-ordering it from NA.
I want it as a christmas present so spring 2013 would be kinda too late

never (P4 Arena is not purely Atlus so it doesn't count and it's even an rpg)

Extremely late for the reply but there is an exception: Yggdra Union (and before you ask, there are a lot of dialogues, even for a mere PSP game).
Frankly, it just doesn't make much sense to stick with only 1 audio track nowadays, especially there is hardly any storage issue with the vita compared to say, DS/PSP.

Meanwhile, I don't get why it would take like 3-4 months for NISA to release P4G in Europe, despite these guys never and ever localize the games into french, german etc. At most, only the jackets and user manual are translated, but that period of time for just this? No reason not to buy the NA version.

i dont think so. VA license still within atlus area. so i dont think we get dual voice.

unleash of course is NISA decide to ask Atlus JP directly but i doubt they will do that

NISA do released non-dual voice sometimes. but it pretty rare if they do that

dunno, probably something to with Atlus stuff instead NISA. NISA usually released EU game around month or so after US released while Atlus is 3+ month plus after US.

well Atlus didn't really published the japanese version
but I can take that game as an exception

anyway, the only thing hindering them is rights if I'm not mistaken or probably just pride from their voice acting

anyway, if NISA is going to handle EU release
will there be a possibility of dual audio?

like i said chance are really small since it atlus created game unlike arena which created by ASW

by the way for NA it will be November 20th

I don't need dual audio as I seriously love the English voice cast.
All I want is my old Chie VA baaaack T_T

It's sad for Teddie too, but his voice actually sounds alot like his old one. But Chie OH MY GAWD it's horrible x.x

Hopefully I'll get used to her new voice super fast

I'm willing to wait and see with the new voices. I mean when I first heard Chie's original voice I wanted to hit my head against something. It was pretty bad. But as the game went on felt the VA got herself together and had no real complaints about her voice. Think the least I can do is give the new ones some time.

Since it was Atlus that handled the localization and they have confirmed it to have no dual audio option, and that NISA is only handling the publishing part of the European release, chances of it having dual audio in the Euro release is slim to none.

But yeah, I'm not too sure what it is about the business part of things that delays releases between the US and Europe. Changing it to PAL shouldn't be too big of a project for such delays.
