There was a lot of that the previous presidency. Trends that can drive people to either be more conservative or more extreme in their stubborness against things like globalism.

I will be 70, but I would assume the invasion was somewhere between now and then and they cobbled together a time machine using caputred alien technology. Unless someone thinks they'll get that working in 30 years. (Not that I am buying this story)

On the other hand, I would like to live long enough to see, if not partake is commercial space travel, humanity encountering aliens (unknown probability), and/or go faster than the speed of light to allow potental interstellar exploration, or at minimum, faster planetary travel times.
