D.C. II S.S. ~Da Capo II Second Season~

The second season (i.e. "second half") of the Da Capo II anime has been announced. (Not to be confused with the second half of the first series, D.C.S.S.)

All staff and production companies presumed to be the same as the first season (as this is really more like splitting a 26-episode series in two).

Premise speculation:

Spoiler for Assumes you've watched the D.C. II anime:

Widely expected to deal with story of the unwithering sakura tree, and focus on Otome, Yume, and possibly Anzu (the three heroines not touched on in the first anime). Should be a direct continuation of the first season without a reset, but could also be considered to be sort of like a "second playthrough" of the game following a different heroine's path.

As much as I enjoyed ZEXCS's effort in the first season, sticking with FEEL (and the rest of the staff) is probably the smarter move.

I hope they can deliver sakura/siscon drama in the second season - or else it really wouldn't be D.C.

That stupid hack of a being, Yoshiyuki, broke up with Koko and felt no regret what-so-ever and ran off to help that scrap heap.
I'm sure his real feelings belong to one of those "sisters" of his. Hmm, following first season, I'm guessing it'll be Yume. Even the way she calls him is the same.
The series would amuse me if it went otherwise, like Anzu.

I wouldn't have said that to him, because he's using siscon in a much looser sense. Using the word "incest" here quite simply isn't possible. It's against the very definition of the word.

The first season of this was good Shaky, slow and sometimes annoying start but it ended out alright imo ^^

Ah, it also looks like this has been updated as well. Now if only I had the time to take these Japenese classes . Anyways, april is coming soon...we'll probably see more updates to the second season and, let's hope, a small trailer to quench our thirst.

Yes! Looks like I will get my wish, as Otome and Yume are the featured characters. It will be interesting to see Otome's motherly side along with Yume's Nemu impressions.

As for the one Yoshiyuki has true feelings for? I have an inkling that it is the one he promised to "become one" with... and they will surely fulfill their promise!

Yes, that image does indeed confirm what a lot of us suspected; that the second season would focus more on the characters that were less focused on in the first season. In particular, that image gives a very strong hint of what material will be covered in relation to the game, and without spoiling anything, and I can at least say that it's what most consider to be "the good stuff". So yes, I'm looking forward to it a great deal!

Hmm... Leaving the two sisters aside... Anzu won't get a story? Or will she get a story at the beginning and end quickly before the story goes to Yoshi and the sisters...?

Not expecting much. Just that the sakura tree will act up (again) and cause lots of suffering (hopefully for Yoshiyuki ).

Hope the OP and ED are nice to listen to, like the first season of the second Da Capo.

Well, all I can say is that, if they decide to do it according to the game, it can/must fit into this timeline (not just at the beginning). As for whether they'll do it? Hmm... I'm leaning slightly towards thinking that they will. It can work. The promo material has always emphasized all six heroines equally. Think of the way things were handled in the original Da Capo anime.
