it's a bit different though, because while reborn was a gag manga that turned into a battle action manga out of the blue, air gear IS a battle action manga and it's the plot that(and "seriousness" of it) that gradually change(and there are hints all throughout the first volumes of what's to come. You've just read vol 1, well, don't ever forget the scenes with the old guy...)

not quite, but by the time of the behemoth fight(agito and akira's fb) it definitely was...it's mostly a matter of very low exposition, keeping the reader about as informed as the main characters, so you only understand the sheer scale of it all when the main chars do...
though OG did kinda lose the handle after volume 20...tried to do too much with it... |

Its obvious what the direction of AG was, there was enough foreshadowing with fights and Ikki getting the regalia. However around halfway manga went from SF into Fantasy. People surviving impalement by helicopter rotor. Major turnarounds explained as some kind of Hypnosis or other mirage. As far as AG was around kids using regalia to fight and using some powers like fire/lightning and other stuff it was ok, but then it went crazy shit. Still I will probably read AG again when it gets finished to have a whole picture. It just that OG is known for his Oh Not So Great story twists.

I thought 350 already released by stream?
Ikki apparently has "Infinite Possibilities" in front of him, and he wrecked one of Sora's legs. Ikki just got strong out of nowhere, so much for Sora's power up .. I wonder what Sora will do now.

Isn't it more like that Sora couldn't keep or predict Ikki's moves rather than Ikki got stronger than Sora? I found it nice that while Ringo admires Rika, it's the exact opposite in Ikki and Sora position.

I liked this chapter..especially when Sora was crushed on the ground..
However..the best things in this chapter, was Ringo's ultimate form of the Thorn Regalia imho..especially i liked in the panties way..lol

for someone like Sora he made a path for himself to follow all his life. He can see everything along that straight path easily but knows of no other direction to go. Whereas Ikki basically says "screw paths" and goes to uncharted territories that Sora cannot see before or behind him.
