Kazuya comes and blow his load a few times already in the story, basically in this manga everything sexual except the real intercourse had been done many times, the author even invented “soul climax” to get around some corners,

If you wanna get technical Kazuya and Kiriha did the deed in the gender bend arc and Pillow Tsugumomo has been banging Kazuya on the regular in the pillow realm.

is it me or the recent chapters have been shorter than usual?

Madarai turns into an amalgam of tsukumogami while Kazuya forcefully ascended with Kyouka using what I assume to be the Curse as a fuel of sorts (this is just a speculation and is in no way mentioned in the newly released chapter).

Predictions: Kazuya lays down the hurt on Madarai with some difficulty but it will turn out that his forced ascension has some consequences.

It's corrupted because it's a forced ascension where gains all control over the tsugumomo's power and it was done in anger. He can still do a regular ascension, as you will see in a few chapters.

The problem I see is that even if he wins, he is doing it by subduing the shikigami, so in the end he would prove the slavery faction right

Well that's disappointing. Don't get me wrong, I like her and all but the moment this happened any danger the important characters face from now on will not have any weight. Thank you manga/anime for once again being predictable to a T.

Considering that the water god is still dead and it took dozens of chapters to bring back one of the two leads, I'm not particularly worried.
