Sounds extremely delicious for me ! But I have no time making this, but I guess I would make it during summer, right ?

I often make something similar to that ^^ Really nice and easy recipe. Can be served with rice or eggs as side dish. Often at the beginning of the week, I will chop or dice a huge amount of onion and garlic which I will then keep it in a jar. I can use them whenever I want. It makes cooking so much more easier.

I made laksam for my dinner. Flat rice noodle with shrimp paste, coconut milk, bean sprout, shredded cucumber, boiled eggs, or cabbage.

getting ready to bbq some chicken and whipped up a batch of my favorite sauce to use on bbq chicken

its super easy to make I call it mustard sauce, I don't have a real recipe for it but its a mix of mustard, vinegar, and brown sugar. Its soo good on chicken give it a try you might have to play with it a bit to get it right but its soooo goooddd

I should ask how you manage to create those "mosaic" sushi rolls? I'm not sure what they're called in japanese and haven't come across any instructions. We routinely make inarizushi and makizushi (futomaki, hosomaki) and occasionally nigirizushi (e.g. musubi) but nothing I'd call advanced.

Hello Everyone!

Thank you for the kind words. They put a smile and encourages me to do more.

As for the sushi, I copied it from here:

If you are tempted then you can try the Kuma Sushi

And if you are so talented and decided to go all the way, try doing this

I hope you like the videos!
Cheers!

I had some time off today so I went ahead and made chee cheong fun, a type of Chinese noodle. Been getting an earful from mum cause it seems to her that I am slowly forgetting my roots (been cooking anything but Chinese lately)

Some dishes I made recently.

Salad with mixed greens, homemade vinaigrette, and beets (fresh, not canned). It was accompanied by cut up red potatoes, seasoned and baked in the oven. The vinaigrette was made with olive oil, a bit of extra virgin olive oil, red wine vinegar, sea salt, and black pepper. Usually when I use black pepper it is fresh cracked black pepper from a peppercorn grinder.

The Salad

The potatoes were mixed with olive oil and a bit of extra virgin olive oil, kosher salt, black pepper, minced garlic, fresh rosemary, and fresh thyme.

The Potatoes

I made a shepard's pie recently. I made the mashed potatoes with white potatoes, and pan sauteed ground beef with sweet onion and frozen corn, plus kosher salt and black pepper. I made a gravy for this meat and veggie mixture by combining heated beef stock and flour. Once I put it in a casserole dish and put the mashed potatoes on top, I brushed melted butter on top of the layer of potatoes and then baked it.

The Shepard's Pie

I ate beef kabobs with veggies and rice today. The beef was marinated in a marinade for about 20 hours. The veggies include onion, green bell pepper, red bell pepper, mushroom, and zucchini. I had it with some beer.

The Kabobs and Rice
