Yotsubato! (comes with furigana for the kanji, very simple ... sometimes the font used for background dialog can be challenging) -- 6 volumes so far
Lucky*Star (also has furigana for the kanji but sometimes the clever wordplay can be difficult) - 4 volumes so far Azumanga Daioh (a bit challenging but the complete series is only 4 volumes) Mahoraba: Heartful Days (also a bit challenging but has furigana -- 13 volumes/complete I think) That's really the key.... make sure the kanji has furigana (eases pronunciation and lookup).
