You're forgetting two obvious ones. Kagami and Fate.

Kagami was 1st in Saimoe, top 8 in Bestmoe, and like 3rd in ISML.

Fate's 1st in ISML, 2nd in Saimoe, 6th in Bestmoe, and a top 16finish in SBM.(1st in MALmoe too, but that not a official moe tournament.)

Uh... do I have to run by statistics over and over again? Suigintou DID finish in the top 16 in Saimoe 2007.

I forgot top 16 is the match after getting out of your bracket, not the final match of each group.

A month to catch up and review series for characters I'm still not all that familiar with... and/or moments that I just forgot about.

I'm watching the first season of ARIA again (it's been over a year since I saw it the first time) and I was stunned when I got to episode 3 (Alice's introduction) and realized how little I remembered of her. With respect to Alice, it was almost like watching it the first time. She has quite a few really great moments. I was probably too smitten with Akari to notice the first time.

It's amazing what repeat viewings can do.

IIRC someone said that Touhou characters(other than the 5 in right now) might not be allowed in next year if Maikaze didn't release a new episode this year. Well I'm not sure if they will or not but another fan group is apparently releasing a Touhou doujin anime.

It is a Music Video Animation. I highly doubt that it will pass as an anime. Then again, I COULD be wrong.

Yeah, I see it now. They're selling a DVD. The second tab on that website shows the contents, with the main video track being 4:53 long. Looks like it also has six audio tracks and an image gallery.

I don't think it will matter to fans if it's considered an anime or not. It has Touhou girls in it.

LOL... I wish I could claim credit for it. I snagged it from an old post in the ARIA the ANIMATION discussion thread. Same with the one of Akari that I've been using forever.

Akari grabbed my heart-strings and ran with them before the OP of episode 1 could finish. So I had blinders on the entire first season. It's a good thing, I suppose, being able to go back to something cherished and see that there are still some wonders to be found.

I haven't forgotten about Shana, though. But I think I'm going to have to be really weird and let Shana and Akari share my #1 spot. They are at opposite ends of the moe spectrum and I can't think of one as being higher than the other. And I've thought about it a lot. Same level of moe power, just completely different. Shana makes me feel giddy and excited to the same depth that Akari makes me feel calm and relaxed. That may not make any sense, but that's how I'm seeing... or rather feeling it.

For ISML's future reference, Music Video Animations do NOT have a storyline, so it will not pass as a considered anime.

Either I really am crazy, or Woland (or somebody) added a few more of Alice. I could have sworn yesterday there was only one. And in the post where I mentioned using it, the avy has changed. They're mostly variations on the border, but it's the interesting, transparent, geometric borders on these that I like so much.

I've always liked seeing Alice in her school uniform. I think it has as much to do with the way she wears her hair as it does the uniform, though. It's twin-tailish without really being distinct twin-tails. Very nice!
