^Thanks for the CC. I really appreciate it!!

Sadly, I don't have photoshop on my computer. I only have GIMP and that's the program I mainly use to edit my pictures (color adjusting, filtering, cloning, etc). My coloring isn't perfect I understand but I've been trying to color more slowly and not rush (which is one of my main problems). Anatomy wise, I have a book that I occasionally look at to help me. But my weakness is hands (not the arm but literally the fingers and palm >_>). But I'm getting kinda better (not drastically).

To end my night, I scanned a new pic from a few weeks ago!! xD

More C&C for your new scan:

See this is what I was talking about. Whatever you used on the blue background, it really doesn't look neat. The strokes are just all over the place and really creates a sense of unrefinement. If you were going to create a moon, why not get a coin, or something circular so it doesn't look so crumpled. The stars really just doesn't look good. I'm really feeling that you're doing this in a rush. You should take time and ensure quality before speed. Or just practice and practice.

Looking at the reference for the character you used, yours really looks deformed (not in a chiibi way but in a "it really looks deformed" way). Again try different thickness when using pens and do it neatly. And the colors are just messy.

Again, I'm sorry I'm sounding harsh but hey you are posting it here so you should expect C&C. I mean all of us always needs improvement on our works right?

Yes. I understand! But I'm glad you're watching me carefully here XD!!

Today, I worked on another picture, except I did something different. Instead of the usual flat lines that I come up with, I played around with some of my pens. In this new picture for a point commish on dA, I thickened up lines where I think I will color most often and where I would make a mistake. I would usually go over the areas where my marker/color pencils will go off the lineart after like ten to fifteen minutes.

I used a reference picture for the pose and I did that for anatomy/hand reasons. I did this style with a few of my pictures and I always love the outcome of it afterwards. Maybe that's what I should do for all of my future pictures idk. But what do you guys think?

Yep. Since the last post, I've been really happy on the progress since High School ended. I feel confident that once College is over completely and I have a degree, my art is going to be freaking amazing LOL. <--- So conceited...

Also, I got an youtube channel dedicated on my art! I update a lot on there now considering I need a bigger audience 0_0.

Also! I'm having an art contest. I know that no one comments on this thread anymore because I'm lame and rather look at the CG work that's on this site but I wish you artist could come. The theme isn't that hard to understand and I think it's kind of fun.

Due date is November 3rd so lots of time to think of something

It's cool to see people still using traditional markers for coloring.

One thing that might get more people to comment is if you get the images to show up without linking off site, especially when you post so many links at once.

My favorite piece of yours is the Fairy of Water one. The colors are really consistent and you make good use of the textured feel from the markers. On some of your lighter colored pieces the inconsistency of the markers bleeding into the paper is a lot more apparent. Are you using special paper made for COPIC markers? They should reduce a lot of the inconsistencies and would make your flatter areas look more like a solid block of color instead of the more splotchy look.

^It really varies. I would either use cardstock or Bristol Smooth Board paper.

But thank you very much for commenting on this thread! I really appreciate it!!! To take your suggestion, I upload a few newer stuff on imageshack.
