This part confused me as well.

The best explanation I saw was "Kobayashi pretty much said "there are things only you can do" i.e. there are fundamental differences between dragons & humans. Tohru doesn't take the reminder too well and Kobayashi knew this (based on her reaction + she noted how hard she pushes herself to do everything a human could/would do earlier in the episode), so when she called out her name after hesitation, it was probably to comfort/reassure her that although there are fundamental differences between her and humans, she could still find enjoyment & belonging amongst them. She ended up not saying anything because she saw that Tohru realized & cheered up by herself."

Or maybe she tried to say something like "Tohru, you already did something no one could, you helped me to change" or something like this?

There seems to be some controversy about the loli yuri and shoutacon elements? Since Quetzl got drunk and slept with her sister, I'm satisfied that her activities aren't meant to be seen, necessarily, in a positive light. As for Kanna, they both look like children? But otherwise, not too comfortable, hopefully won't come up much in future. Tohru and Kobayashi don't really have much lesbian chemistry, the series premise throughout seems much racier than the content.

Waiit, when was it explained what happened to Lucoa?

Well, it was explained that she did something she shouldn't have while drunk. For the rest, look up the actual myth of Quetzalcoatl.

When it comes to rearranging the order of the chapters, I believe it is being done for two reasons:

1. KyoAni method of which chapters appear in which episode pertain to the "theme" of the episode (i.e. the most recent episode's theme was giving some spotlight to the dragon/human pairings of the show).

2. To give more screen time to Fafnir and Lucoa.

Now I'm wondering when kyoani will show chaps. 19 and 20, they are fundamental to understand the relation between Touru and Kobayashi, maybe in episode 12?
Personally, I'm not even sure if the anime will even adapt these chapters. The reasoning for this: with the next episode being summer-focused, the show only has five episodes remaining to incorporate the last regular character in the series, Elma. Quite honestly, these chapters are important setting up Elma's arrival as well. However, some cuts may need to be done for the sake of condensing things into just twelve episodes, and I'm sure the show will need a couple of episodes to get viewers acquainted with Elma.

Right now, my big argument is what will serve as the season finale story, as there's two different ways it could go.

Just stepping in here for a second to remind everyone that not everyone has read the source material.

PLEASE. In the currently airing anime threads no references or hints at future content (including characters, upcoming events, story telling and the rest) from the source should be trickled out to the others.

Such things can earn people bans.

Please be respectful of the anime-only viewers and let them be just as surprised and delighted as you were when reading the source material and those unexpected developments arose.

Kanna Kamuy is the Ainu 'god' (kamuy) of thunder and lightning.

Ah, yes, but what I means is their story in the legend...

Well, this is as far as mentions of Kanna Kamuy I can find:

So, I'm curious about it's story... whether Kanna's exile related to her myth as the thunder god. Tho, I doubt it myself...

Well if you know your geography (or wiki it) you would realise that Kanna's home island was taken by the Soviets after WW2. And that meant Kanna, if you assume the Ainu are more Japanese than Russian, no longer has a home anymore and thus "exiled".

Sorry that was my misunderstanding, I don't know of anything besides ebooks that have stories from Ainu folklore.

Episode 7:

Ah the beach episode. Even this show has one of course.

Seems Quetzalcoatl has her own way of having fun there lol
Kanna and Toru's race in the ocean was amusing even though it was brief. Toru's making her own version of fireworks was also amusing.

Interesting they did a visit to the Comiket this episode too. I find it funny that others that Toru was mistaken as a cosplayer.

Yep here it is, the beach episode or better said "fanservice episode".

Lucoa is bigger and bigger each episode, that swimsuit was almost exploding. Up to this point I believe is fair to assume that Tooru loves Kobayashi not in a friendly way but as a couple, right?

LOL that last part at comiket, Tooru as cosplayer. Overall decent episode.

That episode was straight 10/10

I admit I was anxious about the "fanservice", because that could ruin the immersion- it was perfectly balanced. Very good episode, even LucoxShota wasn't disturbing. Balanced, cute, funny, serious and more characters' feelings. That's the way I like it.
Thank you

And I am hyped for Elma arrival. Who is she? What is she like? Didn't read manga, waiting for next ep
