Not the best episode of the series, maybe the worst since "introduction" ended. A lot of plot development, but lack of fun, or beautiful, or memorable scenes. Quite weak scenario for the episode too, imo. Guess storytelling isn't the strongest point of SnB team...

Also Luke's fanclub finally got their "Luke's episode". Hope this will make them cease whining for a week or two

Cecily's day off duty and her "civil" dress' potential was largely wasted imo.

(Just compare it to Lisa's shopping episode.)
As well as the first "glowing eye" appearance - it wasn't flashy enough!

It was partly compensated by the introduction of a new girl though

Yeah seems like it. At least it helps explain why they take the particular human forms that they do. Though it might make it harder for them to be accepted by their owner. After all you just get reminded of the loss and have to remember that while looking the same they aren't the same.

Well there wasn't much plot development in this episode either. Seems like a sort of "Monster of the Week" thing going on. Some Character Expansion for Luke and little bit of Character development for Cecily. Not much though and at some points badly handled for me (Did Luke's eye just spontaneously explode?). The moe bit at the start was annoying, aswell.

Just another below average episode, imo.

Interesting episode I might say, and no, it's not because we get to see more of Luke.

As Luke was recalling his past and we see Lisa, I also thought she shared some similarities with Cecily and present Lisa as well, Luke himself said so about Cecily though he didn't mention Lisa. I gotta say though, she certainly acted brave but naive and stupid at the same time when she faced off against Valbanill.

Since that girl that tried to strangle Risa most likely is a demon sword that took the shape of his daughter, could present Lisa also be a demon sword and Luke is unaware of it? I think so for now, since both of them were killed by Valbanill.

maybe in the past year he was a very very avid fans of funsubbers and now he know the know how he is making his best to repay for what he watch and read >_<

or he is just a plain saint who even if he hates it will do it to appease the public

just watched ep6 and I have to say, I'm dropping this anime. 10 year old girls with giant swords is not my thing.Cecily wasn't so bad, but after watching the 6th episode I can see where this anime is going.

I personally like this show. I didn't expect more than your typical D&D type adventure but their appears to be some interesting plot twist. I don't expect any major surprises but do want a well executed show. So far, their seems to be alot more questions that need to be addressed if the anime goes one season. With the current pace, I could see a major effort to quickly wrap things up which would be really disappointing.

As to Lisa,

Anyway, nice to get a cliffhanger and possibly something unexpected with the story. Hope we don't lose our subber. He's done a nice job with this.

Surprisingly, it's Spoiler for main story: it's not a story of Cecily+Aria fighting against demons, but the other way round, - the story of Cecily+Aria+Luke fighting to protect a demon (Lisa). Actually I like this turn of events. I expected the crazy old guy to die, but didn't expect poor Elza to die too... Overall, the arc felt kind of quick and Seigfried's identity was clearer than die, but it was fun and interesting. As to Lisa, Spoiler for Spoiler for answer in ep10:: it did seem odd Luke can somehow escape twice while his childhood friend and father died. A lot seems to be left unexplained. I could see Luke make a deal that led to the creation of Lisa. Given the circumstances, why not although it looks like her personailty wasn't saved. Wonder if Luke got what he bargained for? Anyway, nice to get a cliffhanger and possibly something unexpected with the story. Hope we don't lose our subber. He's done a nice job with this. __________________ ...Time for a break
