Yeah....I'm not sure what "overscan" is, but I've definitely realized lately that my tv doesn't get the full image of anything...videogames especially. I'm not sure how to fix that.

You don't. All TVs, even the giant DLP screens you see in store displays, have some degree of overscan. It's just part of the standard, and product vendors have a responsibility to take it into account.

Typically, 5% from the edge is considered graphics-safe, while 10% from the edge is considered titles-safe. The latter number is what determines overscan-friendly subtitle placement, which I believe has been discussed on this forum before.

Interesting...although you'd think we'd have such problems worked out by now.

If you want more information on the topic, I'd suggest googling for it. I found a couple of pretty good articles here and here.

Does anyone know if the Advent Children cast is doing the voices in the Dirge of Cerberus? *can't wait for that game*
*sighs* Vincent...Steve Blum did a fantastic job in my opinion...of course I've been a rabid Vincent fangirl for years...since I was 16 (24 now), so maybe that's not saying much, lol.

Odd, it worked just fine in my laptop, with no signs of protection aside from the usual CSS (NEC ND-6550A patched to RPC-1 firmware, played by PowerDVD 6). What drive and player software are you using?

I watched it today...it's great! The Tifa fighting scene is so realistic I almost thought it's a life video...if it wasn't for that mechanical arm I would.

$39.95 for Movie(2 disc pack) with poster or $32.95 for movie(2 disc) with tin box. Which would you have choosen =D

personally i thought the english VA for Tifa was a bit lacking.

also what pissed me off most was in the english dub, when cloud was talking to Tifa about his burden...they changed to him saying "i feel lighter, maybe i lost some weight" mega pissed off from that. but overall it was a decent english dubbing.

Tifa's dubbed voice was decent. Cloud didn't sound emo enough, and Vincent sounded too raspy.

Barret sounds black. Dunno if that's a good thing though.

......... Of course, a phoenix down, why didn't I think of that? *Laughs* That explains why Aeris stayed dead while Tseng was brought back, oh wait...

Nope, the phoenix down explanation doesn't quite cut it I'm afraid...

It actually all goes back to the game, there were many mistranslations in FFVII, one of them being Tseng dying. I looked up on Wikipedia (being confused of this as well) and found out that he was just injured in the game, but as you can see now, he's okay.
