Oh wow another season !!! This I need as right now it is the only anime I can acutually get my hubby to sit down and watch with me

If anyone wants another great (or perhaps greater) sports anime they should consider watching Hajime no Ippo. I don't really care for sports at all, and that one had me hooked from the first ep to the last, and wanting wanting so wanting more And even MY MOM watches it, (she's in her mid 60's).

however, now you guys have me wondering what the terrible "spoiler" info you are all speaking of...has me worried

What an ego Goro has - monumental. Yet, he somehow manages to back it up. That probably defines most athletic superstars right there.

BTW, S3 premieres in January. Anyone know what the timeline will be like - will it follow the Goro vs. Kaido era, or skip ahead to university? If the former, it strikes me that Goro will be needing another catcher...

Gorou will join Seishuu High School (Shimizu's school) and then with his no name team, they will challenge Kaidou. Check out volume 33 of the manga.

His catcher is going to be the same guy in S1 I think, forgot his name.

It is not Komori. He is with Mifune High School, remember . Gorou's new school is called Seishuu High School and his new catcher is Tashiro.

Well, Komori - and that's certainly what I was hinting at! He was the most interesting character arc of S2, and then he basically disappeared without a trace...

Komori is going to stay at Mifune, and they will later become an opponent for Goro's school. In the manga, the school selection process takes some time, and it is possible that the bad guy (the manager or director) from Kaido might be involved during that process. Also, the school Goro joins does not initially have a baseball team, so he founds the team with mostly weaklings, just like before. Later on, Shimuzu's little brother become an important part of the team.

It's amazing that someone like me who doesn't care for sports at all, will become so "engrossed" in so many sports anime. Guess it's the ability to make me enjoy a good story with great characters

sounds like S3 will be like S1, building up a underdog/unknown team and encouraging them, perhaps some more romance would be nice also.........I'll be watching

i watch last ep subbed of S2 and there was a note saying the manga and anime ending for the last match against Kaido 1st team is different. Could someone who read the manga tell me about it?

They will, and so will probably Saizen.

Well, if there was any doubt about following S3 they pretty much killed it by salvaging a rousing conclusion to an uneven season. It'll be nice to see Goro and Shimizu together again, though I wish Komori would be part of it too. Athanor, thanks again to MJN for another great job - looking forward to your work on S3.

I expected a love triangle between shimizu, Goro and that girl ( don't remember the name....the one who was in toshiya's team and whom goro played against when they were little)

Yeah, that plotline was pretty much a dead-end. Oh well - romance clearly wasn't a part of this season - I suspect it may play a larger role in the next.

I recently read up on another site that the 3rd season of Major! is going to be released in early 2007. Ive tried to look it up but I can't seem to find any exact dates of the airing for the show. Anyone got rough dates or even any ideas of where to look? Would be much ablidged
