For me, it depends I tend to never like the subbed version of DVDs cause they don't put the effort into that fansubbers do. Also their translation often annoying (most notable is Kenshin - I hate reading the term Manslayer and seeing "that is is" written out on the screen). The dub though is worse.

The fansub of kenshin, I loved.
As you say, it's a matter of taste. Everyone has there own way of watching anime. Yeah, alot of fansubbers put a lot of work into what they do, but so do legitemet distro's. So what if fansubbers make the karaoke for anime openings all nice and flashy? I don't care, and I wouldn't care either if legit distro's did that either, but that's my personal opinion. I download fansubs a lot but I don't have time to watch them all the time. The fansubs for titles like FMP Fumoffu & Gundam SEED I downloaded and watched right-off-the-bat because I eagerly anticipated seeing those titles. I've downloaded entire series fansubbed (Godannar, V Gundam, Get Backers, Wolf's Rain, E's Otherwise just to name a few), and never got around to watching them. I happen to be a DUB enthusiast. I also watch ALL of my DVD's both DUB & Japanese. If you don't like dubs, that's just fine and dandy. However that doesn't mean that I completely put aside the original Japanese diologue. I found the DUB for S-cry-ed absolutely horrendous so I sticked to the Japanese for that one. Chobits as well, while the DUB isn't bad, the Japanese diologue for that title is so much better by comparison in terms of acting quality. So, with me personally, it all depends on the quality of the DUB. If it sucks, I just don't watch it. Atleast with FMP Fumoffu I know it'll be a good DUB because they'll use the same actors from the first season, which just so happened to be an excellent DUB as well.

Quoting Bandit King:

I thought Scrapped Princess was already licensed. Wasn't it already licensed by that company that mostly license's Hentai and stuff like that? But hey, if ADV licenses it, it's all good.

yeah its already licensed but the company who licensed didn't come out it yet. Most people assume it was Nuteah(comany that release hentai) because they make a deal with Ken Groove.

If ADV licensed it its fine by me since I don't like pron star doing the dub or actor on the art cover.

LOL. Even if NuTech actually licensed it, I doubt that pornstars would be doing voice overs. Or next thing you know, Jenna Jameson or someone ends up being cast as Pacifica. If it does actually happen, it'll be more f****d up than intersting.
If they didn't license it, hopefully ADV or another distro like Bandai or Geneon, will license it. A great title like that shouldn't have its image tarnished with a bunch of pornstars giving less than mediocre performances after all.

Demon Lord Dante was also a Ken Groove title, but Geneon has that. Sutepri was licensed before NuTech announced their deal. I'm sure they'd also be better off sublicensing stuff instead of doing it themselves, since it can be done by companies with more non-porn experience and they don't actually have to do anything themselves.
