FINALLY! A kiss between Horo and Lawrence (...only a hand kiss... but a good start). ^^
Even though there was no real progress storywise, the heartwarming moments between Mr. and Ms. Craft (...wouldnt that be nice) totally compensated for that. But the conversation was a bit complicated for me this time. Therefore I would appreciate your help regarding this part of the episode: What Horo wanted: http://www12.picfront.org/picture/un.../spicywolf.jpg What Horo got: http://www12.picfront.org/picture/UM...disappoint.jpg Who wished for a cuddling here? Lawrence or Horo? Overall I had some problems understanding the conversation at that point. Does someone have a clue? Regarding the new female character: She could be a slave trader (they talked about this people at the beginning of the episode). Furthermore the "merchant like" people outside the city could be mercenary soldier looking for her (just an idea). Thats not even the most interesting part (at least not for me). Spoiler for volume 4:

interesting episode, it's amusing how much closer they were in this episode compared to the previous arc. *await the no doubt approaching calamity*
Also, yeah that sheik girl reminded me of Zelda too, heh. Whoever she is, she is trouble!

She's gonna steal Horo from Lawrence.
Did someone see Horo looking with attention to her? And, like someone in the post, i'd never ever guess it's actually a girl. I'd think pretty much it's a desert man or smth. Curious about the her true ID. (And 'slave trader' seems like a very good guess to me. And also, i didn't had a clue that slavery still existed in Spice and Wolf world. Do i need some history class?) |

Slavery still exists now IRL. Why not there?
Even officially, some places in Europe still had it in the 18th century. |

Somehow that wouldn't surprise me. Everyone seems to want to steal Horo
I also get the distinct impression that Horo isn't keeping her guard up to begin with. It might be fun if Lawrence gets to play the hero this time, and if so, whether he gets wounded again. |

In fact, various bits of dialogue in this episode were confusing. I watch the show with Frostii's subs, but since the dialog was so odd I thought that maybe the Frostii translator was having a bad day, and decided to d/l Mazui's and see if they would enlighten me. No luck, they didn't help much either. So I guess the translators aren't to blame here. And I can't check the novel dialogue since it isn't translated yet. Darn!
