I think Macross 11 is another human colony fleet that is found a planet. Perhaps it is a homage and it shows how big Grace attack is.

Nah, I meant it rather the age group which watches Macross are adults, and so could watch 18+ productions. ^^

Luca was seen running anxiously to Nanase's ward and Nanase finally awakes from her coma.

The bridge crew and captain survived, Ozma was hugged by Cathy very intimately. Klan Klan was smiling while looking on Michel's glasses with tears.

As for Leon, I don't know because my stream was interrupted. I don't doubt he is dead though since only colony ships and Frontier Battler survived the fight.

Every human settlement was under attack, the anime only shown Vajra fleet folding out at Macross 11 settlement and Earth itself, right above the old relic Macross 1 hulk.

I'm also absolutely disappointed. As you point out the whole show was built around the love triangle and to leave that unresolved makes the show indeed feel empty.

Ok, as usual some people will say this was an epic ending bla blupp. Why? Cause it was different? If an ending is epic just cause it's different I really wonder what standards you have.

But what's really pissing me off, it's that this is the XX show which (for me) was ruined through a bad ending. I'm watching anime since 8 years now, and if there's one trend I noticed the most, it's the open endings. Everything just resolves around MONEY. It's always MONEY. Like it's here MONEY cause he can do a movie, an OVA whatsoever and the hardcore fans will buy it (ya know the anime DVD prices in Japan). And it's just so fucked up, that I could puke (please excuse my bad words). And I'm rid of it, rid of having my dearest hobby commercialised to the last extent, rid of seeing partly very good shows getting endings like this one and rid of stories being left open where everything was clear to the one episode before the last.

I'm already watching easily only a tenth of what I watched 2 years ago and if this trend goes on I'm considering to throw my hobby complety. Watching a series just to be disappointed again? Without me.

One good side this all has... it means Kawamori cares enough about those characters to want write more stories for them.

I guess if he didn´t, he´d have resolved the romance straight away. So he can squeeze more juice from it, still. ^^

I wonder, though... if *we* here in the non-consequential lands outside Japan are up in arms about the non-resolution.... how are the boards in Japan looking at the moment? And will Kawamori get soms pressure from there to finish the romance? I hope something about that turns up in one of the next interviews he does, I´d really like to know if he gets some backlash in Japan.
