I do think that this is the route the author is going to take, which is crazy because like 99% of the Tower of God fan base hates Rachel. To be honest i wish Baam would hook up with Yuri already and quit chasing after the bitch.

If he wants Yuri (or/and Androssi), then he doesn't just need to catch up with Rachel, he needs to go all the way to the top of the Tower and get powerful enough to take on Zahard, like FUG wants him to. (Though really, doing it for love is a much better reason than on orders from those FUG assholes...)

Ryun must have won a lot of fans for finally calling out Baam on his obsession for Rachel at he expense of others. It seems like Baam is finally going to starting progressing when it comes to his Rachel problem.

You know I am glad Baam was finally called out on the Rachel obession, but what I really like about this arc it that Baam is going to have to start living up to his potential. I mean he has underwhelmed since basically the beginning. He is supposed to be this mysterious existence from outside the tower that was locked up, showed unnaturally shinso ability, copy ability, impressed eminem, thorn etc, and then he still getting smoked left and right. I mean it was nice for a while that he did not go from weakling straight to unbeatable, but the fact that its 200 plus chapters in and he still probably has several 100 to several thousand people above him in terms of power is a little much.

Nobody to save him now that it is a one on one battle to decide the life of all his friends.

Also while I think the author could pull it was all for Baam to explain Rachel's actions, there have been too many situations where he honestly could have died if not for luck or plot Armour, ie it could not have been in her calculations that he was guaranteed to survive. She I honestly think she really just is exactly what she appears to be, a selfish little sob.

Hopefully what happens is the story reaches a point where both Rachel and Baam are close to the top of the tower, but Rachel needs Baam at the last moment, and he abadons her to move on with his friends, and she realizes she could always go to the top of the tower if she had just relied on him in the first place. And then rabbit guardian appears from the shadows and tells Rachel that its time to collect on all the assistance she received........
