It's quite good for a first one. There are still some white spots though, but it's more than usable for a signature.

Goodluck with the other one

Thanks to everyone who's worked on the tutorials! Sadly I'm still encountering a problem with Photoshop CS3.

I've tried to change the delay between some frames to make the result look smoother, and when I play the animation in Photoshop, it looks exactly like what I want it to be like.
Now when I save it, the actual gif file is much slower than it is supposed to be. Strangely, when I set the time delays as something rather long, and save the picture again, the speed is this time kept accordingly to the delays set in Photoshop. I'd say it caps at around a 0,12ms delay - should I decide to make the delays shorter, the gif will end up showing a new frame every 0,12ms anyway.

Any clue as to why my Photoshop/computer doesn't like smooth animation? Or am I simply omitting an important point (which wouldn't be surprising since I'm just so bad at this)?

Ah, by the way, I've tried this with an old version of Imageready, and the issue remains.

That was 800x300 px.. The best you'll get is 400x150 without any crop.

Assuming you use PS CS2, go to Image->Image Size .. you can change the unit to pixel then set it to whatever dimension you wish.. Do make sure the constraint proportion is checked

Show the resulting work so we can actually see what the problem is.

Nice job! But maybe you need to do something about the stars that is "inside" the moon. You can choose to either show them entirely or hide it and create a dark side of the moon for more realistic feeling...

I has just tried and failed miserably to use the Eraser. In fact, after messing around with the eraser, now i am in doubt at my understand about the concept of layers in Image Ready. So it's an epic failure D:

Any other recommends? Other than go to the bookstore and get "Learn photoshops for the dummies"? =/

not sure if someone posted this
I have not used virtual dub in over a year or so and I found out that importing image sequences is different in newer versions of adobe.

here is an official video I found very informative

www.adobe.com/go/vid0026

since image ready has been combined you cannot import-> image sequence in adobe photoshop CS3 you now have to file- scripts- load files into stack

or if you want to place a whole video, u can file- open- image sequence, but it will not be imported as layers

I understand the eraser now at last, and a bunch of other stuffs as well.
But now i have another question.

How do you put one layer over another?
I always have the one that i want in the bottom, on top and vice versa

It's simple, just drag that layer on your layer pane to the position you want it to be...
