@Zero, it's the scene in Chapter 2, 3rd line. "Ichika likes older girls" OMG that annoyed me (Maybe it's referring to Tatenashi)

Why do you not like volume 5 too? I don't see any decrease in quality considering IS is a mecha harem comedy series first and plotline story later. The whole "tournament get's interrupted by a rogue/enemy IS" thing is getting old though.

@ Yachiyo - I thought that line was a joke? They also said it in volume 4 when he met Chelsea. There's even rumors that Ichika likes guys but that's obviously not true (Ignoring his actions towards Charles early on).

EDIT: that line? It's referring to anyone older than Ichika actually, such as Cecilia's Maid. Ichika indeed MORE comfortable with older girls BECAUSE they're more level headed and patient at dealing with his stupidity. Charlotte is the more patient & level headed (or as recently USED to be) and Tatenashi being too hyperactive, so they're somewhat an exception...Ichika IS uncomfortable around tatenashi in fact.

(Oh don't sue me too, I wasn't exactly a fan of Tatenashi, and that's terrible I knew)

With this, the argument is dismissed.

If it makes you feel any better it's not like he's getting more intelligent when it comes to romance Besides, the author seems to like Ichika x Charlotte since he made three doujinshi's: The first two being Ichika and Charlotte while the last one was Ichika x Charlotte x Laura. He even wrote "Sorry, Ichika's an idiot, hope this makes up for it." at the end.

Everyone was gathered around the auditorium with smiles on their faces, this would be one of the greatest events yet.

"Honestly, why do we have to be here?"

The one who said this was Chifuyu Orimura, she had been dragged from her work by the entire class to watch this so-called "Historic event".

"Well...I'm sure the class had a good reason."

Maya Yamada was also in the crowd tonight, she was dragged along with Chifuyu though neither knew what was about to happen.

"Excuse me, may I please have your attention?"

A smiling blonde haired girl was on the stage and addressing the anxious crowd.

"I'm sure most of you know why we're here so lets get this started. The first ever "SWC" beauty pageant!"

The entire auditorium was filled with the cheers of all the females, they had been looking forward to this the entire day.

"First up we have the girl who probably knows more about IS units than most of the students combined. I present to you; Nurse Pyxis-chan!"

"WOOOOOH!"

"NURSE UNIFORM!"

"P-chan!"

A person wearing a pink nurse outfit walked onto the stage, his head held high even through the shame.

"Now Pyxis-chan, is there anything you'd like to say?"

"A REAL MAN DOESN'T LET HIS CLOTHES DECIDE HIS PRIDE! WHAT MATTERS IS WHAT'S ON THE INSIDE!"

"WOOOOOOOH!

"Thank you for that Pyxis-chan, now I have the next contestant."

She turned back to the crowd.

"I think you'll know who this is, she's the homeroom teacher of class 1-2 and the engineer for the shooting st@r idol group; Maxine-chan."

The next person to walk forward was a silver haired "Girl" dressed in a simple pink Yukata.

"PINK KIMONO!"

"HE LOOKS SO ELEGANT!"

"Anything to say Maxine-chan?"

"..."

"She" simply looked down and went to stand next to "Pyxis".

"Maxine-chan is being quiet so we'll go to our next contestant. She's been piloting the Minerva battle armor for a few months now and a great masseuse to boot; I give you Inuko-chan!"

Another figure walked to the stage, this time it was a "Girl" dressed in a dark blue china dress complete with designs.

"YESSSS~!"

"INUKO-CHAN!"

"HE LOOKS SO PRETTY~!"

"Do you have any words for our audience Inuko-chan?"

"Oh...um, I hope you enjoyed the massages?"

The crowd went wild as he went to take his spot next to the others.

"Now we have our final two contestants, they wouldn't participate willingly so we had to drag them onto the stage."

She signalled towards the back for something.

"I give you; Ichiko-chan ad Irish-chan!"

And finally, Two people walked into the stage. One a "girl" dressed in the IS academy uniform and the other in a skimpy maid outfit.

"THOSE ARE GUYS!?"

"I CAN'T SEE ANY HINT OF A MALE!"

"DREAMS DO COME TRUE!"

"GATTAI~!"

"Would you like to say anything to our audience you two?"

The girl in the uniform was the first to speak. "Ch-Chifuyu-nee! Help me!" "She" yelled in desperation.

"Okay that's enough of that." She grabbed the mic from "her" hand. "Do you have something to say Iris-chan?"

"..."

The one in the maid outfit simply looked down and stayed quiet like "Maxine".

"Then I guess that ends the first part of this show, please stay tuned for what comes after. See you later!"

I don't know what I just wrote.

*Que Tsurugi making fun of Inami for the rest of the week, poor guy.

Also, a wee bit of progress on chapter 6 as the gang makes their way towards an epic battle.... with some friction:

The Academy IS units and the Minerva enter Fukushima’s airspace. The IS pilots are uncertain if the Silver Gospel will still be near the coastline when they arrive while Inami still keeps his trust on Jinrai’s judgement about the drones delaying the Silver Gospel’s progress.


“Man, I hope we’ll reach there on time…” Ichika remarks on the reliability of the mission strategy.


“I can go faster than this...!” Houki utters as she grows impatient cruising at their current speed, looking at the Minerva who’s leading the formation.


“Arisawa, can’t you go any faster?” She crudely asks Inami, catching the attention of the other pilots.


“I can use my Overboost, yeah. But Iwaki core’s energy regeneration rate won’t be able to keep up if I use it for a prolonged period.” He calmly replies, aware of the Minerva’s power limits.


“Tch. We won’t arrive in time at this pace!” She snaps at him as Ichika calls out on her.


“Houki…!”


“But…”


“…She’s right, Orimura-kun. We won’t make it at this rate…” Inami maintains his composure as he activates Minerva’s Overboost. The Vanguard unit’s thrusters charge up as it prepares to boost, accompanied by a loud humming.


“But… Inami! The Minerva’s energy level won’t be able to….!” Cecilia protests against his decision but he dismisses her concerns.


“I know… On full power, I’ll only be able to use the Overboost for twenty seconds before the power level goes into the red.”

Only Octans had the cojones to stand up with his held up high, not sure if that's good thing though.

Anyway, Why is Akatsubaki not leading again? Even if Houki was a C rank pilot she's still the fastest of the heroines.

He volunteered to since he has better knowledge of Praxidike's location in Fukushima so he knows approximately where and when the drones would most likely be engaging the Silver Gospel.

Makes sense I guess, though it seems odd that they'd let him and not just give Houki the coordinates to make the trip go faster. Anyway, good luck in chapter 6.

Yamada and Browning cat fight! Might put in appearances by Karon and Irish just to make it even more chaotic, I can totally see Karon egging them on for lulz and Irish trying to stop Yamada from getting a black eye.

Yamada doesn't take care of Irish though That only happens when he's amnesiac, any other time and he usually doesn't talk to her even if she's his mother figure.

So...All Maximillian's love interest are either at least 4 years older or younger than him? No one of the same age that he is?
