You do know its only 31 chapters long, right? As in, the story is finished. It sounds like you're waiting for the next chapter to be released.

The author did a omake if you want to call it called "After the Juvenile". It's all in text and suppose to take place 2 years after the end of the manga. The same guy who scanlated the manga is translating this. According to his site he's about 25% done with the second part...

I guess it's a preview of sort to the novel re-write up for this manga that's gonna be out soon...

I'm pretty sure it was two years after the class trip in middle school. So they're all in their second year of high school at the start of After the Juvenile".

Which would be five months after the end of the manga since:

The author is also working on a revised novel for actual print publication. It might contain more than what's been released.

I'm still hoping we see an ending where Takigawa and Kurosawa meet up in the future when his book is released and she tells him he won the bet.

I was dumbfounded when Kurosawa realized Sugawa felt left out. He should have known that from the start since he himself just experienced that. Oh well, he's only human. The translator is on beast mode and wants to finish translating part 2 before the week ends and I'm very grateful for that

Do we know how many parts there actually are? I'm getting kind of worried we won't see a definite ending until the proper novel is out.

It didn't shock me that much. These are high school kids we are dealing with. They're bound to make easy relationship mistakes and they usually have to live and learn from it.

Exactly. It's easy for us as an audience to watch from the sidelines where we can read each party's thoughts and motivations and say that the character is doing something wrong.

In the relationship between Kurosawa and Takigawa I've seen a lot of how my first serious relationship started in Secondary College (high school to most people) and I have to sit back and laugh when I realized I made the same mistakes as Kurosawa in waiting too long and losing her to someone else or misreading emotions.

Long story short I got the girl in the end and we were together for three years before we split up to pursue our futures much like:

I always thought Kurosawa would end up with Takigawa after that library scene when they hit it off so nicely. They look so nice together, like they could talk about anything under the sun.

I'm the type that conforms to canon as much as possible though, so I'm really hoping that either Takigawa really ends up with Kurosawa in the end, or Katsura would have to provide us with more KurosawaxSugawa and TakigawaxNagaoka, lest I tear myself apart from the rampart KuroTaki shipping that'd look so perfect and yet never come true. ):
