Oh wow, those character designs look great! Though I wish they 'filled' in their eyes. It makes the designs look a little lifeless otherwise.

It'll probably be a while before we see Beato..alas.. but Battler and Kanon make up for it <3

Huh? Despite being Asian, I don't see how you are pulling this reading (especially that, as far as I can remember, 釘 has only one reading, "kugi").
And no, Furude and Hurude is just a usual typo or misusage of the romaji rules. It is like how they usually screw with katakana (saver = saber) and how things can go to the left field (Z = D, etc).
And even so, there isn't any possible ressembleance, even for them, between "ku" and "tsu".
