Being the soccer fanatic that I am, i was wondering if there's any others in this forum? I would like to get into a soccer conversation while we prepare for Kick Off.

[edit] also being the idiot that i am, i just realized tthat i put WOLRD CUP instead of EURO.......... /sigh........... it's the fasting.

Well dude, I'm sure theres plenty of football to talk about. And yes; there are lots of other Animes fans like us who also follow football.

Check out this forum: http://forums.animesuki.com/showthread.php?t=11103

Btw, follow EPL football? Newcastle United forever!

I'm not that much of a soccer fan to know people's names or anything major...but i'm still cheering for Portugal to win the Eurocup ^_^

I can't wait till it all starts, and hopefully they won't get cheated (like so many other countries) in the Eurocup like they did in the World Cup (like so many other countries)

I was real upset when all the teams i was cheering for lost

as for the fasting..today is the last day for me so i'm happy ^_^ starting next week i don't have to worry about such things until next year

acutally in my opinion i dont believe all the games are bought. (cheated for that manner)

every time a big team looses to an underdog everyone says that the underdogs bought the ref? Have they heard of 'upsets'?

Well, i'm not saying that all games, or even a majority of them were cheated...but it just seemed that way in the beginning...and you can't say that ALL the underdogs can beat the big teams...I know that sometimes teams have good days and all...but there's just so much luck they can have you know....

but whatever...it's over with...and Euro is right around the corner so i'm happy ^_^

LOL!!! well...on the bright side...you'll have something to keep you entertained during the reception....

but then again...if either country wins..there might cause some tense situations after the game is done...

Dragonz - well...i don't think france should win...they've already won the World Cup, and the Euro Cup so this time they can come in second but i don't know...they didn't play as good in the last World Cup...so i'm not sure how they'll do this year

Even though I live in america I am a huge football fan! The world cup is one of the most anticipated events for the world, and me. I have so many football teams that I like. A rough quick little rundown of them would be france, spain, england, japan, germany, mexico, and the one and only infamous brazil football team. There are a bunch of teams I also like. I still have the last world cup fresh in my mind. Even though Germany had one of the best goal keepers, they couldn't hold down the "3 R's" of brazil

I'm rooting for Sweden. With Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Anders Svensson and Fredrik Ljungberg as well as the other members of the team we have a very potent team, we just have to live up to it. Also, Henrik Larsson might still accept and join the squad.

There is no such thing as Euro Cup, the correct name is "UEFA European Championship" or just simply "Euro 2004". I have very high hopes for España in this tournament but it won't be easy with Portugal and Russia in their group.

Being already inside of Alvalade XXI and Luz, i can tell you one thing: Well made stadiums, and ready to receive the Euro. Let's not forget that Alvalade XXI can be next year's stadium to the UEFA Cup.
