(CR) Senki Zesshou Symphogear G (Season 2)

Wha? The ending was perfect. It actually ended properly. No loose ends, nothing left open for a sequel, everyone got a moment to play their part, and it didn't feel rushed. Yet by the events of the story, it's easy to continue the series in any direction they wish.

It's clear this project had the right people working on it. Everything is well paced, laid out, and resolved. Symphogear is goofy, happy fun and it revels in how ridiculous it is.

Commie had translator issues, which wouldn't have been as painful if they weren't the only group working on the show. Thanks to the anonymous tl'r who finished it up though.

hibiki back in action cue ver-STARSCREAM run away then genjuro & ogawa-coulson arrive give maria said stop ver-STARSCREAM's beast arm it's all over.

cue punch hole ground genjuro with chase is on with hibiki telling maria will be saved then meet-up with chris & tsubasa.

maria got re-boost cause her sister appear to sing up & yet old lady barely ok give in mecha-chair suit mode telling maria you're free cause old lady will take all burden & the moon.

ver-STARSCREAM go like screw all you cue giant beast blaster attack on main 3 then shira, kiri, & maria arrive to help main 3 to lead full MEGA-SYMPHOGEAR-FORCE unite mode to stop blasting neph-beast.

yet last going take it all boom move ver-STARSCREAM let neph-beast unleash give ogawa-coulson shot the arm & genjuro punch the system to the ground & oh there going let ver-STARSCREAM rot in jail then get the "whacked".

even as far genjuro punch a giant meteor rock cause ver-STARSCREAM going to jail then 6 mega-symph battle giant full neph-beast to send to world of noise by using the cane blaster.

old lady fix the moon with in turn "bought the wagon" while main 6 in world of noise go in yet going for escape to make gold silver hands of VITALIZATION to come home & make sure it's lock miku toss the cane to lock away the noise.

all safe in world ver-STARSCREAM going to jail, maria & hibiki make their ok friends, moon is safe, & now back to normal school lives for all.

As much as I would have loved to see Ver killed, Ryuubei was right. It becomes too easy for someone, somewhere in the future, to hold up a dead person as a martyr and a hero, no matter how evil they actually were. Take him in for trial, expose his crimes and his insanity to everyone, and that becomes not impossible, but harder. People will be able to see what sort of lunatic he really was, and they'll stop to think "do we really want our cause to be represented by that thing?"

Essentially this is the ultimate way to completely defeat the doctor's plans. Not only has failed completely in everything he tried to do, but he's failed to even become a martyr for his cause. He'll be exposed to the world as an insane maniac by his worst enemies, who consider him too beneath contempt to even kill. He has lost everything.

I still find that ending cringe worthy, teaming up and befriending them all after all the deaths they cause and kidnapping Miku and brainwashing her is hard to swallow. Then all the action scenes with giant robots and ghosts appearing and giving away thier relics O_o im surprised miku didnt transform at the end, but she did have hercules level strength with that spear throw...are all symphogear endings gonna have space combat in them?

Heres hoping season 3 has a decent villain, ver just made me sigh and laugh when he showed up

You really haven't been paying attention. Maria rescued Miku: it was Ver who insisted on bringing her back to their base and holding her prisoner, and then brainwashing her. Serena's ghost didn't give away her relic: Maria has been carrying it around this entire time and pretty much the only keepsake she has left of her sister. And Miku couldn't have transformed at the end, because her relic was destroyed in the same beam that cured Hibiki of the fusion with the Gungnir that was killing her.

Maria, Kirika, and Shirabe may have aided and abetted, but they didn't cause any deaths, aside from the soldiers who were gunning down civilians in the skytower. Ver was the one who was summoning the Noise and killing everyone. The three FIS symphogear users were simply being misguided and used. Them joining in to help at the end is not significantly different than Chris joining the team was back in season 1.

she rescued her only to bring her back to ver to lock in a cage and experiment on her. Evil! She could of just placed her on the ground and left but no!

The ground was covered with Noise at that moment. Putting Miku into the midst of them would have been worse than just leaving her to die in the tower. Again, Ver was the one who gave the order to actually bring Miku back with them. Had it been Maria's choice she probably would have just dropped Miku off somewhere where it was safe.

Maria watched Ver kill those boys and just whined about it! Evil!

And from where she was, she could have done what, exactly, to stop him? Even if she transformed the instant Ver started walking towards the boys, she couldn't have gotten out there in time to save them, and she spent a few moments trying to talk sense into Ver, operating on the assumption that he wasn't a complete sociopath. It all happened too quickly.
