Nasa sure recovered quick from the apartment fire, but I guess his practical and genuine nature kept him from getting too worked up about it. Of course, that doesn't prepare him for another "I Love You" from his wife .

Of course Nasa's thoughts about staying at a hotel with Tsukasa drift to a Love Hotel. He can deny it all he wants, but his little Nasa tells the truth .

Poor Aya...I mean, yeah, she's an absurd airhead but finding out your crush is married from your mom who then promptly reveals your feelings to said crush afterwards would shake anybody up. She wasn't even allowed to wallow in her sad feelings as her mom has had enough of that in her own life and just wants her to get the cliched rejection reactions out of the way. But at least she got to lose with dignity in the end and congratulate Nasa on his marriage .

I didn't know the girls' mom was still in the picture, I thought it was just them and the dad who abandoned them, but she turns out to be the third lady in the Opening with them. And voiced by Aya Hisakawa, to boot! Of course, it's too bad her husband cheated on and ran off with a younger woman, but I guess we already knew about that .

So, Tsukasa and underwear...does she wear a bra? It seems like the only underwear she might wear are panties, but we still haven't quite gotten clear answer one way or another, but she had to wash and purchase something .

Nasa you dirty dog, smelling your own wife's clothes that have her wonderful scent on them .

Tsukasa in a tracksuit! Not only that, but Tsukasa going commando in a tracksuit! It's so effective Nasa had to take a commemorative picture !

It's the job of the husband to support their wives in their efforts to be cute .

What's the best part about clothes shopping? Showing girls in various cute outfits! And Tsukasa looked fantastic in all of them .

Will Nasa get to see his wife in her underwear? Stay tuned .

Note: Nasa actually said he clothes shops in the supermarket, not the department store as the subs said (in Japan, large supermarkets often have a clothing/housewares floor). This marks him as considerably more frugal and unhip.

And landlord is voiced by Marina Inoue.

In regards to clothes I'm the same as Nasa, if they fit and aren't in a weird color it's usually good enough. If not for having to adhere to the bare minimum of social conventions I'd probably just wear tracksuits all the time.

He basically shops at Japanese Walmart, then. Nasa is me and I am Nasa... except I don't have a hot younger wife

Yes it is. The author of Tonikaku Kawaii, Hata Kenjirou, is also the author of Hayate no Gotoku.

If only all love triangles could be handled so tastefully and quickly.

It really is even worse that that. He shops for clothes at Japanese Von's/Ralph's/Kroger/Piggly Wiggly.

He does indeed. One of the things I like about ToniCawa is how it portrays the positives of sharing your life with someone after developing a distinct set of patterns for yourself. That other person can simply open your eyes to things it never even occurred to you mattered.

its definitely a clean way to end a triangle, i was half expecting her to try and be a fallback if they ever divorced/split. she could easily just have tried to be clingy and try to take the spotlight. its a funny 4th wall joke when her mom interrupts her life story on how she fell for him. i dont know just what he'd do without Kaname even if Tsukasa wasnt too into the advice he took at first.

this series somehow is really good and it really doesnt scream the normal cliches that come with rom-coms. there are some there but its very sensible and very little angst. its one of my favorite series at this season. Aya's little sister did seem mad/sad that Aya didnt make her feelings known before but if they dont know or try then they miss out.

I still feel sorry for her that her mom wouldn't allow her five freaking minutes to process her heartbreak.

Of course, I understand why the mom doesn't have time to waste on her daughter's failed first love considering what happened to her marriage .

Also, seems pretty clear Aya knew all along and was just good at telling herself otherwise.

It seems like she's either that dense or really good at denying reality. I'm not sure what's worse .

Y'know, that high-rise apartment was very nice, but somehow I think the more rustic shack fits the couple quite well .

Tsukasa being seemingly so long-lived lends itself well to her cooking old school style, which is super effective on Nasa .

Tsukasa in shock at the idea that they might not have any TV was priceless .

People continually telling the Yuzaki's about how much privacy they have to do the deed keeps making me wonder how long until these two are finally ready to reach the ultimate apex of any marriage .

Kaname looks good with her hair down! But she also looks good in twintails .

Kaname respects Nasa more than anyone else? I understand why, but she sure doesn't show it around him, but I guess that's just the kind of personality she has. It was nice to see her get to know Tsukasa and express how much she really cares about and respects Nasa beneath all the dirty jokes and insults .

Poor Aya lost both her first love and possibly her role as big sister to the same woman. She think she's about to reach side-heroine status .

Was the mom advocating for park sex? Although some warm, tight, embracing works too .

Curse garlic breath for getting in the way of a kiss between the couple !

If we take Tsukasa at face value, she's lived a very long time and gone through many experiences, but this is the first time she's ever fell deeply in love with someone and found that kind of companionship, which has offered up a treasure trove of firsts and new experiences for her. Which is very sweet .

Looks like we'll have the in-laws showing at the bathhouse next week for double the hijinks .

"[...], so your tongue will be for my personal use."
Unintended "That's what she said" moment there?

Not sure I get why he is so surprised about Tsukasa being able to cook rice in a pot though. Is that something special in Japan?

Not sure if anyone already said it, but Tsukasa's hair ornament is kinda weird...

I think the implication is that because she's lived so long she knows how to cook old school instead of going for convenience like most people do now.
