Tsuyu-chan is a valid ship, but not a very strong one. Despite the number of fans that like her, Deku has shown no interest, nor even any notable recognition that she's a girl, unlike his encounters with Ochako.

Kaminari x Jirou is a side-ship, although as far as I've seen it's still open to debate as to whether there's anything there to see. But as shipping goes it could be considered valid enough.

It's the Ochako x Bakugo or the Deku x Bakugo or the Mineta x anybody (or other ships along those lines) ships that are clearly crack ships.

This is going to be the tricky part. These guys have improved their skills and survived crazy situations. But dealing with people in need of rescue is not exactly what they've been handling. Will have to trust their instincts and that will lead to some bad decisions along the way.

I'm kind of interested to see how Bakugou handles rescuing people . If he doesn't threaten to blow up one of the people he's rescuing I'll be kind of sad .

Curious what they are going to do with Ochako right now. That she's actively having to beat down her feelings while on the job just means they are bound to bubble to the surface. Can't see them keeping this going for very long without some kind of progression. Obviously be surprising to see any kind of romance in this kind of show, but seems like she has to speak up or she'll drive herself crazy.

Although I do agree that distracting herself wouldn't help her pass this exam. But she does need to keep a certain level of empathy in order to deal with people in need of rescue. Will be an interesting challenge for her, hopefully she gets through it.

It's an internet forum...So yeah that's going to be a thing that happens. Considering a part of this chapter was about Ochako's feelings for Deku, discussing shipping is a valid part of discussing the chapter. It's not devolving just because you don't care about the topic.

Yeah and unfortunately, a lot of people like to see girls in different works with abusive boyfriends. I still remember so many people clamoring for Draco x Hermione in Harry Potter.

It'll be interesting to see how they deal with this. They've had some real experience, but spent most of it sidelined.

I didn't mean it like shipping in general is all that bad I just started seeing the discussion start focusing on crack ships and valid ships which, fro my previous experience, just turns into a cluster fuck of opinions and who can yell the loudest.

Well it's mostly just school pride. Back in the day when my team would play other teams we'd be brutal as fuck and talk alot of shit and get super aggressive but then summer would roll around and you'd see them at the mall or convinis and you'd be friendly and cordial.

Ha, only now do Kaminari and Mineta start to realize just how much of a chick magnet Deku is. If only they knew about Ochako's feelings too, they'd be even more jealous. Aoyama might have noticed, but not sure if he was just teasing her or not.

At least these "professional victims" aren't as annoying as I'd feared, since they're giving some pointers. This is still a competition, but at least it won't obviously favor the fastest and most powerful like the first round. Unfortunately, all of UA's battle experience has left them a bit underprepared for civilian rescue. Wonder how next chapter will go, maybe fake villains will attack and they'll have to defend and evacuate the "civilians" at the same time? But then it might just degenerate into another battle, and this rescue stage seems a bit more complicated than just the earlier giant free for all.

putting the shipping wars aside, I prefer to see some good action in this rescue test
I wanted to see more battles, but it seems interesting to see how Yuuei students would learn this things fast

Well, luckily, the "majority of readers" aren't writing this manga, so the author can canon ship anyone he wants. As long as it makes sense and it doesn't feel like he's pandering to people, it doesn't matter to me.

During the test, Inasa uses his wind quirk to same some civilians, but ends up getting points deducted because he was too rough in doing so. We also learn something interesting about two of the Shiketsu students: According to their teacher, Kemi (shapeshifter girl) and Seiji (guy with the flesh quirk) are both fans of Stain! This explains their odd behavior compared to the rest of their classmates.....

As far as UA goes, we see them working together to save civilians, but when it comes to Bakugou, his victim yells that his arm is broken, making the explosive one yell back that he can at least still use his legs. Naturally, this results in deducted points, heh. As for the "villain" at the end, he is Sakamata, the 10th-ranked hero! He, along with the 3rd-ranked hero, are playing the role of villains for this test. Now it's up to Deku and the rest to face this new challenge....!!!!

Edit: Oh, the translated chapter's already out, I see. Looks like that summary was off about there being more than one hero masquerading as a villain (it was just describing how he much he looks like a villain)....
