Just so I don't create the wrong impression, I really enjoyed how things turned out. Besides being logical, it was the outcome that Kaoruko deserved

I don't have much to say for the series' finale except that it ended in a way that I was satisfied with. Kaos improved and I"m proud of her far she's come. Seems her mother is proud of her daughter too. The journey felt emotional for her and she didn't give up her dreams. A cute show overall and I also recommend the manga.

I can feel Kaos so much in this. From her low self-esteem to her writer's block to that moment of affirmation when finally all her hard work pays off. I've worked through all of those myself, and I can totally get what she's feeling. The last five minutes especially had me tearing up along with her.

This has been a good series, and I'm sad to see it go.

Yep, this has been an enjoyable series, and I like that Kaos' main path to success was 'write what you know'. Love the idea of her mum handing out copies of the manga to everyone, pity there wasn't time to fully animate Kaos' arrival in her home town and people asking for her autograph.

Drawing was the one thing she always loved, and her mother supported her in her aim to be a mangaka. That's heartwarming.

Honestly that is a really satisfying last episode and show as a whole. Kaos may still have a long road ahead of her, but she tasted success and persevered. What successes she has gained will at least take her beyond the point of 'having no fans' and wondering if she can do this at all. Never going to be easy but she'll be able to keep pressing.

Just a nice show as a whole. The last episode allowing Kaos' mother to show up for a bit was nice and you can tell how glad she was her daughter found something she loved doing. The right kind of support at the right time in this episode.

Not much more to say than "it was a good show!"

Well after watching this last episode Kaos should give up on being a mangaka just seeing her struggle with part to of her 4 panel just a little hard to watch But it good that she made some good friends

7/10

I don't think I can emphasize enough how brilliant the character acting and Hikaru Akao's performance are in this episode. They really deliver at exploring a side of Kaos we've seen many times, but never in this light.

This last episode reminded me in a way of the 4th with Ruki, an episode that deals with emotional struggle in a more serious way than usual, in this case with Kaos. It works and very well, it manages to set a heavy atmosphere with character traits that we usually laugh at or take lightly according to the mood and context. The scene of the conversation with the editor was even hard to watch. Kind of makes me wish the show had more of these mood shifts because it has proved excellent at them.

Still, I don't think it was the best ending. It was very good, particularly on how it handles more serious and heavy tones and how it changes our perception on the character of Kaos by giving emotional weight to her usual antics. But I feel it wasn't the rightest conclusion, just a mildly satisfying one; it's clear to me that the series really looks forward to having a second season because that last scene was a clear return to the statu quo. On the other hand, I didn't expect this episode to actually deal with such a heavy character conflict instead of a standard farewell, so I have to give it points for that, it's bold.

What I didn't like was the aesthetic emphasis quite a few times... the series can do better. "A tear falling over a screen" was repeated so much it got annoying. The ED and OP as insert songs were used in a very forgettable way. There was a little too much verbalisation and speeches.

Anyway, with its pros and cons this was a very enjoyable episode that ends this wild ride of an anime, that somehow became one of the highlights of the season despite having so many things against. I'll miss its energy, its comedy and its ability to change pace and tone at will. And of course its production values. This was a great show and an outstanding execution.

This has been one of the better CGDCT anime out there.

Sweet, mostly harmless (except Ruki drawing smutty manga while underage, but even that is handled fairly well).

between this and Yuri Camp, the CGDCT genre has had a strong 2018

Pretty good series with a decent conclusion.

not sure if it was anime original or not, but it was decent.

Not that big a fan of the fakeout where it seemed like everyone was separating, only that they were gonna relocate to a different dorm.

It's based on a (still ongoing) 4koma from Kaori Hanzawa.

Same, but to be honest to the series, it never remotely tried to make it dramatic. I was surprised by episode 11 actually because I expected something more sad or heavy from their announced departure and they all were just fine with the idea. In this episode the whole drama happened around Kaos' deadline, had there not been such pressure in her, she would probably have been just fine with the other girls leaving.

go rewatch episode 1, where the Matron states right as Kaos arrives that she's probly the last one to arrive because they're going to remodel the building in about a year.

Good point. Since the prospect of moving was already there, they didn't make it dramatic when it was going to happen. And in addition, the separation only had this devastating effect due to the temporary circumstances of Kaos.

Someone's been subbing and posting the show that the actresses have been doing online, and now there's a "live reaction" of them as they watch the final episode:

The actress for Kaos-chan has her broken arm wrapped up in a sling, so you can't see her cast.

Watched episode 12:

Nice journey for Kaos-sensei. Did not expect tension in the last episode, but Kaos still have some self confidence problems.. glad that got resolved or at least partially resolved by the end of the anime. She has a supportive mom too.

Did not dislike anyone in this anime, and would watch again if there's a season 2.

8/10

Well, I must say that after watching all 12 episodes, Comic Girls was a fun show to watch and really, I give props to Kaoruko Moeta for having her manga feature in Bunhousha's manga magazine. She really did her best there!
