[mod edit: removed spoiler post mentioned]
And the war finally starts, was nice to see the different Outlaw branches here and there fighting against the Tomogaras' forces. Ernest reminded me a lot to Friagne with his fighting style and white suit. Awesome episode with a full power ending, at the peek of the next episode there is some Tomogaras getting slashed (by Shana?), looking forward for it.

I would say the start of the war felt lukewarm, but this maybe because not all the big players from both sides have sprung forth to clash against each other.
The more we see more about the Flame Hazes battle plans and operation networks the more the mood and atmosphere feel, as if I'm watching a theatergoing enactment of World War II rather than a hi-Cosmic war for all-or-nothing at stake. The path that Yuuji-Serpent_of_Altar is traversing through at the moment is given a little bit in more detail. In summary, while Hecates' prayers traced the route from where her Master was casted into the oblivion between dimensions to our world, said path is unstable more in terms that it could turn easy for the traveler's to get lost in the way if the point of reference becomes lost; or that's how I understood that whole business with the fleeting trail path. Ok. But I'm giving hi-fives to all the staff for executing Shana's personal introspection of her overall feelings concerning a reconciliation between herself as the girl she fell in love with Yuuji, and herself as the Red Eyes, Blazing Hair, Flame Haze that is contracted to Alastor; the piano version of the OP playing as the background score added a fulfilling taste to those Shana scenes. |

Serpent of the Altar is probably the old version of [mod edit: a certain group's] subtitle. They are currently using Serpent of the Ritual. Other than that, I am unaware of other form of translation set by other subbing groups.

Mm, it was okay with Shana's thoughts and this Rebecca Reed character. (I could care less about Khamisin though) It was kept down by subpar BGM and fight choreography. The later of which Shana has never been that great with, but the war started out with fights that really had no rhyme or reason. I kinda feel this episode just felt cheap with the animation, which I really hope wasn't a trend.
It's kinda just there, not bad so 6/10
