Agreed. Hamadura will be considered the same as the Tsukihime Anime(which doesn't exist).

Romanizations are only there because it looks cool, but they are completely irrelevant to the text at all.

BTW, I remember seeing it as "Hamazura" in some magazines that had the profile (back then when episode 23 & 24 where aired).

Still the pronunciation stands above tha failure of romanization. I'll never acept it since Hamazura never says "Ore-ga HaDura Shiage" but Hamazura.

Maybe we should just call him Hama****. It'll be a compromise.

Hamazura and Hamadura has happened with Ritsu Tainaka ans Ritu Tainaka.
We use one style of romanization (Hepburn), they use another (Nihon-shiki). Nothing much changes.

To those who are willing to protect the wiki from incoming attacks, please do so.

Thank you for clearing up why they romanized it that way.

And I just nuked a user who shoves himself into the wiki as the Sixth Level 5.
Three months should be enough to silence him.

I haven't been keeping track with the Wiki... what happened?

And personally I prefer 'Hamazura' and 'Bardway' over the actual spellings - and I'll continue to use those spelling too, it's not like people doesn't know who I'm talking about if I spell it this way right?

Some jerk decided that he should be the Sixth Level 5, so I got my Blasting Rod and went Aleister Crowley on his ass.

In a more serious note, Birdway's fine for me, actually.

Umm...people seem to be getting the wrong idea and are getting needlessly upset.

Hamadura is not an official english spelling. Rather, because it's a japanese word, it can't have an english spelling. Romanization is a method of representing a language into a Roman script and, although there are popular styles, there's no official one.

Hamazura, for example, is written using the most popular Hepburn system. Most japanese words you see are written in this style
Hamadura is written using the Nihon-shiki system, generally intended for japanese use.

Basically this: there's no need to concern yourself with the japanese romanization of a word, it has no bearing on how you want to write it. For the japanese turning a word into english simply makes it look cool (or something like that) and they generally don't care/ignore what system it uses.

In the end romanization is mainly intended for our (english speakers) use and so how we write Hamazura as, it will be the norm.

What Marcus means is that a user made an article named after himself and wrote... incredible stuff, even surpassing my Holy Crack. Do we have a copy of the article? It was so lulz...
