Posted chapter two, but take it with a grain of salt. There were places where the J-C translation was verifiably incorrect; I tried to get help with those. I don't know that I caught all of them, though.

Thank for the update, yeah from J-C-E, there would bound to have some mistranslation.
Ihave even heard that there are some chinese translation that makeup their own story.

So the MC main weapon is a borrow sword... which is kind of disappointing.... For some reason I was hoping Ayato would his own a sword which he inherited that was pass down from generation to generation.

I read your translation, and it's a good work. But I have a question about the name of Ayato; is it Ayagari or Amagiri? (I was wondering whether or not you didn't made a mistake there)

I'm not sure how you got that from the chapter... Claudia described one of the privileges of being a special transfer student as having priority access to Ogre Lux weapons, and offered Ayato the opportunity to obtain one. The "borrowed" Lux he currently has is just a temporary loan until a few chapters from now when he has his compatibility test.

You're absolutely right, I hadn't noticed I was mixing his last name and first name. I've now fixed it.

Putting aside for a second whether or not he was interested, having to go through procedures to borrow the item in question each and every time struck Ayato as troublesome; in any case, to begin with, he had no idea if he was compatible or not.

In this paragraph it stated the school only loans and not give out Ogre Lux weapons.

Those Ogre Lux weapons are top-class weapons. The Lux that Ayato just used was an ordinary one that Eishirou loaned to him for the fight. Ayato did not turn down the offer for an Ogre Lux weapon.

Anything in specific? I worked through most of the logic when I tried to decipher most of the weird technical terms.

Though you really don't need to know more then, "it's just technobabble trying to hand-wave the fact that the author is trying to wrap 'magic' as 'technology'" really. >.>

Not much we can do if the Japanese use the same character for blue and green. The relevant line:
若葉のように淡い碧色の瞳

若葉 new leaves
淡い light/faint/pale
碧(あお)色(いろ) blue(green) colour (the two characters as one word can mean 'emerald' but the furigana deliberately indicates the Japanese 'blue or green' colour)
瞳 eye

I couldn't find any good way of rewriting it since they explicitly reference the colour of 'new leaves', so I just assumed she had blue/green eyes like I have (depending upon light sources they have different colours) and left it as is. If you check the front cover though you'll see her eyes seemed to be coloured both blue and aqua anyway so it kind of works...

Though now that I think about it, it could use a footnote.

Even if in the illustrations, her eyes looked blue, I couldn't translate it as "blue eyes", since there was "like new leaves" after that; and leaves aren't blue.

Seems likely to me. Though I don't think Lester was in on it. I think his hanger-ons did it on their own.
