Well that's true. Laxus really is just a jerk so that explains his actions. With Mystogan he might not even know about the situation considering how no one knows how to get in contact with him. Though I suppose you could say he's not much of a team player considering he is so secretive. At least you can't throw that charge at Erza who has really pushed herself to the limit in this conflict. Sadly the regular members have to find a way to handle this.

Spoiler for Episode 27:

All out action this week as the dragon slayers do battle. Thankfully the animation delivered rather nicely. Also glad that the ever so epic flashback with delivered a lot of impact regarding the falling Fairy Tail building did the job. It was nice to include some of it's own scenes there that didn't appear in the manga, for more impact. Very nicely done, i must say.

All hell is going to break lose when Master appears next week.

Fight Fight Sagittarius Flashback Fight.
There were an awful lot of flashbacks. Anyway it seems like Natsu was the last kid to join Fairy Tail. But really Fairy Tail has lots of bar brawls in it's building so I don't get Erza's no fighting in the house rule. Unless only she follows it I guess.

The LOL censorship is starting to get to me because I never know if I'm thinking it's more or less serious than it's supposed to be. Which was bad in this episode because how badly they were damaged was the whole point.
The preview suggests that they haven't actually received their punishment yet though so I don't know whether that was just the preview being the preview or if they really haven't gotten punished yet and we'll see it at a later date.

The top three members are

a) A total jerass-->Laxus

b) Gone on a mission and doesn't know what's going on-->Mistogan

c) On a mission god-knows where-->Number one.

And neither of them are team players.

So (help a non-FT manga reader with non-spoilers, here) in what sense are they meaningfully in the guild at all? I mean - say what you will about Phantom, but when Jose goes on his big mission of evil alll his homies suck it up and take one for the team. It's not like these FT guys enjoy the comaraderie of hanging out at the beer hall - if you don't socialize and don't fight when needed, how are you a member, exactly?

There's really not that much to it at all. They're members, though ones that don't always stick around at the Guild, meaning they don't know what's happening most of the time. DmonHiro summed it up perfectly there with the list.

Cant wait to see Master and Jose mix it up its going to be fight where if you dont want to get hurt you need to get the hell out of dodge. Both masters and both hate each other and after what Jose did to his FT children there is some major rage coming.

we were deprived of our epic fight because of Jose's cowardly actions and even though master still is not back to 100% i believe he will make up for it by drinking several cans Manliness and opening up several more large cans of whoops ass.

Good luck getting Laxus into a penalty box . The attack was badly timed for Fairy Tail with so many top members gone. Only one they could contact is Laxus and he couldn't give a damn.

Anyways the day is saved by a guy in a horse-suit....Well long as he can take action its fine I suppose.

i think all s-class in fairy rock, i think the only one to deserve the penalty box is Laxus, if the top three would have been there lots of problems could haven been avoided and phantom lord would have disappeared in an instant but we still have erza,natsu&co.
can't wait for Fairy Law and the following chapters

I too think the flashbacks took way too much screentime it was overkill.

What was it, 5 minutes of flashback. And the last minute we already saw those ones.

Also, yes people on the sides need to shut up while there's fighting going on.

I thought the flashback was too long when I was halfway through it, but by the end of it, it's done plenty to build up the emotional climax to Natsu's revival. In other words, I like the flashback! Not way really, with the way they arrange it. We also got to see some of Natsu's younger days with young Erza, young Cana, young Mira.... who wouldn't want more?

and trust Fairy Tail to throw in some funny moments in so serious a fight! Lucy's new stellar spirit is just soooo hilarious.

The only drawback of this episode is once again - the lack of fluidity. This is supposed to be an epic fight.
