When it comes to picking from the 2 lead girls, one should remember this: while one might be disappointed their ship didn't get picked, as long as the MC developed a decent relationship with each, at least the picked ship wasn't ass-pull.

*For example Rito having to choose between Lala and Haruna in the first "To Love-Ru" manga series as they were the lead girls then.

This is getting an anime? Seriously? Well alright then, but this one is going to be pretty niche so I wouldn't expect it to be too popular.

Book sales certainly have a factor. While I don't how many printed copies this series has sold in Japan, I guess it's somewhere in the 6-figure-range. Thus, it might be "popular enough" to warrant an anime version.

It seems that Rem is a mistress or something like that. Diablo still makes ecchi things with his harem from the illustrations of volume 9.

There's an illustration of him putting a ring on her finger, last time I checked mistresses tend to not get that privilege so they don't complicate things. Looks more like official wife number two, though since it took a little while after Shera hopefully volumes 8 and 9 clear up the why.
