Right! Sooo right!! Hihihihihi

No.

In fact, I once saw someone with an anime-related sticker on their binder, and I walked up and punched them as hard as I could in the stomach.

Just so people wouldn't think I liked anime.

Then I thought someone might figure out why I did it, so I walked up to someone else at random and punched them square in the nose.

That way people just thought I was crazy, but it had nothing to do with anime.

^ You sound like a nice, relaxed, happy person.

I tell people, no real reason why i wouldnt. The way i see it, if anyone wants to go and think wierd things about it without actually knowing anything, they are not worth my time anyway.

Most of my close mates watch anime anyway. So it makes no difference.

Lol, I always tell my friends. They never think that's it wierd, rather they find it interesting. I would say that Japanese culture and tradition these days pretty much suprise westerners. My friends would always ask me what other anime series to reccomend, although most of my friends are asian, and I would just give it to them. All the factual information, but never spoiling the story in the end. Some have actually gone to Japanese provinces just to visit the Shinto shrines, or trek the mountains of Japan. For me, I think watching anime and telling it to your friends is probably just "being yourself." I mean if you fake that you don't watch anime, but in reality you do, isn't that kind of lying to yourself? In addition to lying to everyone else?

Well, if the discussions happen to be about anime, then I would just tell my friends to watch a certain anime.

Of course, sometimes I even tell people about it, trying to hook them and drag them into zeh aniiimee woooooorld! I've managed to pull a few through. The 2 boys I managed to pull through just watches Naruto, but I pulled through a girl that started with Toradora! So you should tell people, you might get lucky and find yourself an anime-buddy!

Hoho, I'm really inclined not to believe you. Or else you're medically insane and should be receiving professional care.

Only my close friends and family know. It isn't something I like to broadcast to complete strangers or people I've just become friends with.

My friend asks me for good anime to watch, and whether or not anime X is any good. However, I wouldn't tell people that I watch anime on the grounds that I'm not a very active viewer nowadays.

I guess I pretty much hide it, I don't really have any friends into anime so im kind of alone with it. And plus Im a big guy and a fire fighter that plays rugby on the off side, I really don't got the look of someone that watchs anime so I do pretty good job hideing it, but thats just how I do things.

But yeah ture dat qwertyuiopz, unless that the case then I don't shut up about it, if you grow up at the time I did and had a T.V. you seen dbz.

Some people tend to also tease you saying you're actually a japanese if you're an anime fan. They start calling you a "Japanese" even if you don't have any Japanese blood.

I tell them, yes. But only if they ask. My friends and I discuss about anime a lot. It has been our past time already, no maybe a way of life? LOL. I'm pretty serious, though.

I make no bones about it. I was raised on Saturday morning cartoons back in the 50's and '60's...yeah, I'm that old. Anyway, I think anime is a couple orders of magnitude above the cartoon fare in the United States. I would watch it for the music alone, but the plots and character development are as good as a lot of hollywood movies.
I have no problem telling people about anime, but a lot of the folks my age don't even know what it is. Their loss.
